too early for me to tell... but does come with the 6-month outsole guaranteeHow does the durability of the outsole compare between Asics GR and Mizuno?

Numbers indicate size/length, not letters. Letters are for widthMedium for my size D foot.
My "D width" response was to this question.Do you guys find the Enforces to run narrow, medium, or wide in the toe box?
So, six months have passed and the soles are worn where the balls of my feet usually push off from when changing direction and serving. I have started to feel pain on my right foot on the ball of my large toe as well which feels like metartasal pain, so suspect that the cushioning in this area has compressed and is no longer providing adequate support. It’s time to retire these and move on, therefore I’ve ordered the latest K-Swiss Hyper Court Supreme 2 and am looking to use an orthotic to help with the pain and healing process. As a long-standing K-Swiss user, I’m hoping the new shoes give decent room in the toe box coupled with excellent comfort and on-court performance
Coming full circle now. I’ve had the Kswiss HCS2’s and the AGLT-23 ultra both on rotation since retiring the WET’s, but I’ve seen a discounted pair of WET AC in red for an unbeatable price, and debating to pull the trigger on them. I’ll probably use an orthotic insole from new. A side of me says to wait as I wish for some sort of padding in the tongue if a new version is on the horizon, as this is the only part of the shoe I don’t enjoy and the crappy outsole durability. Have also been considering the NB CT Rally as Zach The foot doctor rated these quite highly, although mixed reviews from purchasers on the US website, where some have complained of build quality issues. The reason for an additional shoe is because after using my AGLT-23’s over the summer, my big toe is starting to feel squashed. During long matches, I can’t wait to get them off. Going up half a size was not an option. Decisions, decisions! So, six months have passed and the soles are worn where the balls of my feet usually push off from when changing direction and serving. Did you get the HCS2 and AGLT23 in the same size as the WET? If so, can you compare the toebox widths of those 3 models? Thank youComing full circle now. Yep, all three are UK 8.5 as a 9 would have been too big. Will compare toe box widths in a few days as I’m away from home at the moment.Did you get the HCS2 and AGLT23 in the same size as the WET? If so, can you compare the toebox widths of those 3 models? Thank you
Below are the widths of the insoles of all three on this shared Google folder. The WET’s seemed to have a wider toe box due to the way the forefoot ‘opens up’ to accommodate the big toe. Hopefully you can see the images as I had trouble uploading them into the post. The left insole is the WET, the middle is the AGLT-23, and the right insole is the HCS2’s. FWIW, I ended up acquiring another pair of WET’s AC in red at the discounted price.Yep, all three are UK 8.5 as a 9 would have been too big. Totally true, it’s how they feel and your foot type/shape is the biggest factor. Next challenge is finding an orthotic that works with the WETs. Tried Powerstep Pinnacle Max and Superfeet Run. Both raise the heel too much and I struggle to get the lockdown that WETs are known for. Might try the Game Day Pro, but feel that insoles only really work for shoes that have higher ankle collars, and the WETs are quite low.Amazing
HCS2 actually looks the widest but didn't feel like it (tried it in store a few days ago).
Based on what you feel (not based on what you see) would you agree or disagree with my perceptions?
(No right or wrong answers, just an opinion)
Thank you!![]()
Quick update from me on my WET’s. After receiving them last week, I wore these around the house for an extensive period of time and also doing hard cuts on laminate flooring. I found that my left big toe was rubbing so badly it caused a build of hard skin and my toenail also felt bruised. I do remember I felt this on my previous pair and just ‘managed’ it as they were so darn comfortable under foot. This time however I decided to return them due to this reason and also found a slight fault with the soles. It seems that Mizuno use a rubberised paint on the soles of the red colour way and re-used the blue sole from the initial release. Can someone else confirm this? I’m now waiting for the retailer to confirm they’ll refund me, and I’ll probably buy another pair of Kswiss HCS2’s, as I can use my orthotic in that shoe with no issues with heel slippage.Totally true, it’s how they feel and your foot type/shape is the biggest factor. No such sole guarantee in the UK.I’ve had my Enforce Tour shoes for three months and the outsoles have just worn through at the toes. I can definitely feel a loss of material.
I play tennis for an hour a day, when it doesn’t rain here in the Pacific Northwest. My prior pair lasted five months. The Exceed Tour also lasted five months.
Has anyone else noticed this shortened outsole life?
FWIW, I’m sending mine back to TW to fulfill their six month durability guarantee.
WET are sold out in most sizes in the US, I assume to make room for the next version. Any idea of when it will be available? My achy feet are the main thing keeping me from playing more tennis, and I have high hopes for these.
FootDoctorZach is going to have a busy few weeks testing all these new shoes (Wave Enforce Tour 2, Nike VP12, GR10, AGLT-25 and more)![]()

Would be extra sick with taupe or black laces!First time they make this model with a neutral colorway. Will definitely get a pair of these!

Question Irrelated to WET: did you have to size down in your B.icon 1 (not 2) from before or did you go TTS?Can’t wait to get my mint ones!
I just checked the old Pair still in my garage and it is a 10.5. All my other shoes (my standard size) are 11.Question Irrelated to WET: did you have to size down in your B.icon 1 (not 2) from before or did you go TTS?
Thank you for checking.I just checked the old Pair still in my garage and it is a 10.5. All my other shoes (my standard size) are 11.
It’s been a while but as I recall they were a perfect fit.Thank you for checking.
Do you regret not going TTS, or was that the right decision?
Chairman3 said you enjoyed using them so what made you stop using them? Was it the tearing of the fabric on top of the toebox which affected other B.Icon 1 users as well?
I don't know what kind of feedback they received... "Dyna-Heel Lock Lite" is a fancy name for extra padding around the ankle like a lot of other brands do :/Based on player feedback from the first generation, Mizuno implements the Dyna-Heel Lock Lite to improve the support around the ankles, with plush padding that delivers a more secure fit.
Real bummer. The heel collar was awesome and set it apart from competitors.Got my favorite Mizuno WET shoes but this time 2.0 version.
Beautiful shoe and not much difference from 1.0 EXCEPT the 2s do not have that famous and genius heel collar. A bummer.
I cannot tell if they will be slipping, they are a nice fit but without that collar it just does not feel the same.
The sole, side and front padding is the same as the 1s. The front felt a little bit roomier than the version 1, however, could be this specific pair.
The heel area is nice and snug and has a little bit more padding. So, we will see how they perform (but not any time soon).
Feels and looks like the bottom cushioning and sole are identical between the 1 and 2.
I believe it is the same sole…Had really hoped they would increase the tread depth on the 2. Loved the original WET except for the fact that I torched them in ~16 hours or court time. If the soles are the same they might be a pass for me since I'm already sad Mizuno removed the Dyna-Lock collar.
They are fine. Still the best shoe out there IMO.How are threse for sliding? they look great and curious about making a purchase after current FF 3's
I think the Mizuno WET is a better shoe. More comfortable, better shock absorption, better lock in for the heel, about same stability, same durability and breathability. The fit is also similar.I’m torn between The WET 1 or 2 compared with the Power Cushion Eclipsion 4 or 5. I have one pair of the PCE4 but I heard 5 was better. How does either compare to the WET 1?
PCE's are narrower, more durable, better traction, and although the PC cushion is above average, still pales in this department vs the WET.torn between The WET 1 or 2 compared with the Power Cushion Eclipsion 4 or 5
I am not sure about durability. The Yonex take longer to start showing use (sole) but once that happens I chewed through the bottom quickly.PCE's are narrower, more durable, better traction, and although the PC cushion is above average, still pales in this department vs the WET.
The WET's are a generous medium width, less durable, and as mentioned above, has elite level comfort.
Interesting take. I’ll see about my PCE4s first then decide for the Mizuno WET next. Don’t want to switch shoes in the middle of play right now. I’ll see how it goes, thank you!I think the Mizuno WET is a better shoe. The Yonex PCE5 is a great shoe but between the two I’d take the Mizunos any day
Like stated above, I feel like durability factor depends on how often you play and the intensity you put on the shoes itself. Prior to the PCE I used the Zoom NXT which lasted between 8-12m maximum. Most the left toe is completely gone with a holePCE's are narrower, more durable, better traction, and although the PC cushion is above average, still pales in this department vs the WET.

Oh I never knew that! How deceptive of them!take longer to start showing use (sole) but once that happens I chewed through the bottom quickly.
I would personally rank Mizuno and Yonex ahead of Asics at this time in terms of overall playability - I have tried them all. Hard to pick between the Yonex Eclipsion 5 and the Mizuno WET2 for best overall shoe, but both of these would be on my Top 5 List for sure - maybe Top 2!Which Japanese brand make the best shoes now? Asics, Mizumo or Yonex? I have worn Asics for like 7-8 years, always eager to try those other Japanese brands
I would not call it deceptive, but more the way the layers are constructed.Oh I never knew that! How deceptive of them!
Thanks for clarifying![]()
I am with you. To me the top 5 would be Mizuno WET, Yonex Ecliption 5, GR9, Lacoste LT-AG Ultra and #5I would personally rank Mizuno and Yonex ahead of Asics at this time in terms of overall playability - I have tried them all.
