The French would go wild. She would become the first Frenchwoman to win the home Slam since Pierce back in 2000 (and the first native born one).

The reason I asked is if he presents a string of champion caliber players with PED's as the key to success I find it hard to believe 1. they would all buy in, 2. after the breakups there would be no rumors.
I recall reading some crumby thing on Twitter way back when he and Osaka split. Nothing credible and it is Twitter.
He’s probably legit and good for him, but there’s just a part of me that feels off about it compared to other coaches.

I get it, I'm pretty cynical about that stuff - was just wondering. Some WTA players (see Kiki) are notoriously mentally fragile, seems to me his quick success/burnout could be his ability to boost confidence in the short term - Kiki has great game but her confidence has been gone for a while.

I did say since Pierce.
You said she was the first French woman since Pierce and the first native born one. The second part read to me as implying that, as pierce was born in Canada, you were saying she’d have been the first woman born in France since before pierce. Just not always easy to interpret one or two sentences.
