MLB 2021 A Sticky Situation

25 October 1986 and the law firm of Schiraldi, Stanley and Buckner found a way not to represent their Bosox clients well.

20 October 2021 and the newer firm of Whitlock, Eovaldi & Perez found an even more catastrophic way to lose from ahead.

Going back to the Juice Box either up 3-2 or down 2-3. Tonight will leave a mark though. Crickets in Fenway in the bottom of the ninth.

LOL at Boston fans crying about the missed strike 3 call. It was still a tie game and Diaz was virtually an equal opportunity blind mouse, missing one less call against Cheatros batters than the home team.

Try crying about things your team can control. Bosox failed to build a bigger lead earlier by leaving 11 runners LOB and couldn’t dent the succession of relievers with ERAs all above 3.00. Two hits in 6 plus innings before the bottom of the ninth? At home? Yeah, right…it was all on the blown call.

Atlanta vs LA series has just begun with LAD broken at home singlehandedly by Rosario 4-defending WS champs 2. Usually Gold Glover Betts had two boo boos in right/center.

LA homeboy Max Fried tries to close the door Thursday for the Bravos. Right now, the rumor is the Dodgers and Roberts will go the opener route with their rotation in disarray and suffering from tired arms and ineffectiveness.

@Chace, @USMC-615, would either of you true baseball fans consider a 3-1 series has ‘just begun’?
This 3-1 series Atlanta lead is light years from 'just begun.' Braves will get that Dodger ass tonight, hit LAX and be singing 'Big Ol' Jet Airliner' all the way back to Hotlanta. Dodger boys can catch a cab home!

Complete swing and a miss on my part when it came to Atlanta. Called them the worst team in the playoffs and they’re one game away from the World Series. As a Mets fan I can’t believe I’m rooting for them. They’re easily the most likesble team left though. Can’t root for the *ros (cheaters) sox (Cora = 2x cheater and was basically not punished) and dodgers (F chase utley)

Dodgers roll, get a much needed day off and have Scherzer and Buehler rested for Game 6 and 7. @USMC-615 , sorry but the Freeman dinger in the first may be the Bravos moment that most closely resembles the 28-3 Falcons fall from “certain victory” in SB LI. Atlanta native Bomani Jones is firing up his Atlanta sports team curse video library as we speak. Here is his pre-SB LI take with DLB on Highly Questionabl

Tinge of 1996 WS when Bobby Cox rode Andruw Jones’ hot bat to a commanding 2-0 road lead vs NYY only to see the really young AL champions roar back to a Game 3 win, then fall behind in Game 4 before unexpected hero Jim Leyritz dinged unhittable closer Mark Wohlers for a game tying 3-run shot to tie up the game from 6-0 down to tied at 6 to winning 8-6 in 10 innings. Final: first WS title for the soon-to-be dynasty, from 0-2 to 4-2.

It ain’t over til it’s over. Losing game 4 at home woke up the defending champions to administer this bloodbath.

I wish the Bravis luck but if Scherzer’s tired arm was just talk it will be tough to avoid a Game 7.

another Pat Riley denier. If you don’t study history then doom is around the corner.

Game last night damn sure didn't go anywhere near how I had it scripted. As far as the analyzing, anal-lizing, and history checking, there ain't a situation in the present that can't be compared to some past BS somewhere, somehow. The Dodgers will get sent packing out of Atlanta.

FTFY and that’s what is good about fan bases staying loyal…optimism.

I don’t know much about HFA in the new suburban Truist Field locale. Does the stadium rock during the dog days of the regular season or is it peaking due to the obviously higher stakes in October?

I've been to Truist Park three times since they built it to watch the Braves (about a 2.5 hr drive north of me because of the f'd up downtown Atl traffic)...bad ass state-of-the-art stadium and it def gets rocking all year long. Magnified now no doubt because of the stakes.

Wow! That’s determination to go through that type of trek. All the Bravos fans on the North side got the long end of the stick and the short commute. It sounds like Macon is closer to home for you.

I guess you check the weather forecast thoroughly before buying those tickets. I remember some devilish thunderstorms in the summer when I visited relatives in Hotlanta. Almost as bad as Tallahassee summer storms.

I live in Warner Robins...can be in Macon in 10-15 mins.

They have a Futures tournament there this week.

I spent an interesting 4th of July weekend in Byron a while back. So did a half million others. Drove up from T-town and was there in 3 hours. Saw Jimi about two months before he died.
