I’m ready to see the ’21 version of the ol’ Sid Bream home plate slide and another ring!Congrats, Bravos and their fans! First WS since 1999, Time to party like it’s 1999 but hopefully with a happy ending.
It won’t even show up in the box score but the tools of ignorance belong to D’Arnaud and he literally saved the game by blocking that 50-something foot pitch by Matzek to Pujols. That’s a 4-3 game with zero outs and a runner on third if he failed to keep that ball from bouncing to the backstop.
Rosario has made 2020 Arozarena look like Mario Mendoza in comparison. 14 hits in a 6-game series but none bigger than the pull swing line hook that stayed on line for the Earl Weaver 3-run dinger part of the formula to winning games (pitching, fundamentals and the 3-run homer). Great piece of hitting after his bud Adrianza broke one of his bats on the PH double.
On to Houston and the Juice Box. Second consecutive Sunbelt Series but first without LAD being one of the teams.
Go Braves! Restore the honor!
Pre-roids Bonds made the throw but it was just a little outside. That was NLCS though. You should hope Fried/Minter/Matzek/Smith combine for a shutout like ‘95 Bravos Glavine/Wohlers did in the WS clinching game vs Cleveland.I’m ready to see the ’21 version of the ol’ Sid Bream home plate slide and another ring!
I understand that slide was in the NLCS. That seems to be one of the the most memorable plays that sticks in everybody’s head…takes you back to their reign during those years.Pre-roids Bonds made the throw but it was just a little outside. Alright Braves, get out to an early start here.
Can’t beat that chit…That works!!
Did the trainer even check on Morten after the Gurriel line drive ricocheted solidly to Freddie for the putout? How about in the dugout during the top of the next inning?Charlie Morton channeling his inner Kurt Angle, shutting down the *ros with a broken freakin’ leg. Just three more Atlanta you can do it!

Not in the least…0600 on the flightline comes awful early, I’m out.Not looking real promising tonight.
Always been a Duvall fan going back to his Cincy days. Pour it on, boys.
