Monaco used 2 lefties by time he faces Nadal

As a Nadal supporter, I was noticing that his probable 3rd rd. match will be against Juan Monaco. Monaco just took out Jarkko Nieminen and now faces another lefty in Michael Berrer of Germany. By the time Monaco reaches Nadal, he will have played two lefties in a row. Nadal better be on his game. I'm sure he will be though.

So Nadal vs Monaco could be a barnburner.

Monaco has been playing injured for couple of months now. He's is ready for wrist surgery next month.
Taking that in consideration I don't think he has any chances against Nadal!

Nadal still has to reach third round.. he's up against Dutch talent Thiemo de Bakker so don't get your hopes up.. ;)

But seriously, as a Dutchman I only hope that Thiemo won't get destroyed with something like 6-1 6-1, but that he makes the match at least a little interesting. Winning a set (yes i keep dreaming) would be tremendous :)

That's a good observation but Juan Monaco, is still going to be the heavy underdog. He's played Nadal 3 times and their first two meetings were on clay. Nadal, pretty much slaughtered him, both times.

It would take a great effort from Monaco, to even push Nadal to 3.

Monaco has game to trouble Nadal on clay but not to beat him.
and maybe the most important is Monaco is one of the biggest mental midget in the game.

The only thing you guys forgot was that he needed to play the match and win so he could play Nadal ,which is a different player and different level from the 2 others.C'mon Monaco ain't gonna beat Nadal not even in his best dream.
