Great, thanks to Verdasco Chelsea Kiwi is now within a point of me. I stupidly picked him for the final, he's not going to make it choking like that. [End rant]

Congrats JayChu & valiant for reaching the H2H finals. You should be able to win this whole thing since Boozyuzi, one of your opponents in the final, hasn't made his winner/RUP picks...

JayChu is starting to show diva-behaviour; doing so well but still trying to get rid of his partner... :lol::lol:

he is awesome...i think he has pulled us out of some jams so more than half of the credit does go to him thats for sure

Its always feels good to be appreciated. But I was more like support. Jaychu is awesome with his predictions.
 
Thanx Augustus. This will be my first final. Other two times I was defeated by Jaychu in knockout round :D ( one of the reasons i picked Jay as partner)

According to my calculations, Stefan and I made the final, by one point. We'll have to see how CK works it out.

Well done to Jaychu/Valiant on making the final over me and Augustus and congrats to mtr1 and Stefan83. I am thinking of doing it individually for the fact that not everyone will be able to compete at every tournament. I am also wondering what points system to use (ATP?) and whether to award third place anything. It depends whether me and Augustus get third I suppose ;-)
 
This is how I think the Doubles rankings should go:

Grand Slams

Win - 2000
Runner-up - 1200
Semi-Finals - 720
Quarter-Finals - 360
Third Place in Round Robin - 180
Fourth Place in Round Robin - 90

Masters

Win - 1000
Runner-up- 600
Semi-Finals - 360
Quarter-Finals - 180
Third Place in Round Robin - 90
Fourth Place in Round Robin - 45

Halle/Queens (ATP 250s) (I could change this to the 500 points...)

Win - 250
Runner-up - 150
Semi-Finals - 90
Quarter-Finals - 45
Third Place in Round Robin - 20
Fourth Place in Round Robin - (5)


This is all assuming 32 players, 16 teams. Up until the French Open, seedings will be taken from the singles and at RG we will take seedings based on this system.
 
3rd place should be awarded more than the semi-finalists points. Otherwise there is no point in doing the 3rd/4th place competition other than for bragging rights.

Agreed, in fact I think 3rd place should get the most points (1500), since it's a tremendous achievement to recover from the crushing blow so close to the finish line. :lol:

Seriously though, JayChu is right. If the 3rd/4th place play-off is to have any value, 3rd place should get more points.

Although the rankings will inevitably take some time to take shape, that looks fine bro.
