Shame, this was probably our last chance to ever see the TGM. Good luck to Casper in the final.

Ruud came with the goods and he deserved the win. Terrible service game from Djokovic at the end but I think he will be pleased with his week, and I think he picked his level up in the 2nd and 3rd sets. Good start to his clay season. I think Ruud has a good chance tomorrow.
I do kind of want Ruud grab a big title for his troubles. But both guys deserve to win tomorrow

For Ruud, sets against Djokovic are like buses. You wait ages for 1 to turn up and then 2 come along all at once!!

It's Ruud's 1st win over Djokovic in 6 attempts, 1st on clay and 1st win against a world #1 ranked player. Will it give him the confidence he needs to take on an in-form Tsitsipas tomorrow and finally land his 1st big title??

If history is any indication, I'll have to say no.

Rublev had taken out Nadal in 2021 before losing to Tsitsipas.

ADF had taken out Djokovic in 2022 before losing to Tsitsipas.

Ruud takes out Djokovic today. I expect history to repeat itself.

I remember another match that Nole lost on a double fault. I think it was either against Rafa, or Fed.
It was against Rafa at RG. Can't remember which year as Rafa has beaten him there 8 times. I remember Novak giving a spectator behind him a sarcastic thumbs up blaming him for distracting him. In fact it's happened twice at Roland Garros.

History may or may not repeat itself, as it has always been.

Hence why numbers shouldn't be taken as they are.

Both of those MC titles more more like 250's than 1000's.
Tell it to the Joker fans, who have eliminated the competition factor from the success equation, which has made it possible for their idol to have much more success winning Majors tournaments when he was over 30 years old (12/24) than when he was in his 20s (12/40).

Sorry for my confusion. I had forgotten that we are surrounded of unmerciful Rafa bashers who invent silly stories.

Why does that surprise you though, considering how much misery he has given many by taking all the main records for himself.

People will take whatever they can from every loss now.
The slam race has driven some people out of control. It has made them losing every sense of logic, of appreciation of greatness, of enjoyment of tennis. It has built a lot of resentment, anger, bitterness in some people. It was particularly special because the 3 main contenders (Federer, Nadal and Djokovic) played each other for almost 2 decades, 149 times.

Some players were crowned despite the fact that race was still ongoing. Imagine the pain of losing the crown while still being active.

The other ATGs before the Big3 lost their important records after they had retired. Federer and Nadal lost their records when they were still playing. This leaves lots of wounds and scars amongst their fans.

Nadal will always hold the records at RG and MC though.

Novak probably doesn’t want to face sinner right now. Tactical tank potentially and ruud in good form. Casper in 3!
That's silly. You think Djokovic is gonna give up such a significant amount of points and prize money?? The world number 1 shouldn't be intimidated by anyone ever. Especially someone who's accomplished as much as Djokovic has.

It will stay this way until Djokovic's final match. And then some.

I've been calling for Ruud to win Rolland Garros, I think we're gonna see an epic Carlos vs Ruud finals this year.

Djokovic does lose sometimes in Masters against a player. When they meet in a slam a month or two later it is almost always a different result.
Djokovic was a mature gentleman on the handshake which I applaud & rightfully sweared at the idiot who was talking loud during the point.
