Monte-Carlo Masters R16: Novak Djokovic vs. Lorenzo Musetti

After watching part of the Djok match from yesterday, it’s clear he wants this RG25 title badly. He was never going to play Miami.

And I wouldn’t be surprised if he skips Madrid as part of his prep, just so that he can have more prep time on sea level European red clay.

He may not want to play more than 2 rounds in Monte Carlo, but it’s all part of his larger ramp-up schedule to peak 6 weeks from now.

I want Musetti to take Djok out here again, because it would firm up his self-belief.
He had it last year, he should have done better last year. Everything went wrong, Muuz, there will be no second chance :) but he will fight, the audience will be on his side, it will be colorful

Nole stop this rut you are in against the Italians.

It's not good for the longetivity to have such a block vs a group of players.

Madrid’s never been his fave tournament so I think he skips anyway.

Already too many errors from Djokovic. I hope he's not going to stink up the court again today like he has for the last 3 tournaments.

Mixed feelings, everytime he won RG, he sucked first at MC. Two times he did win, he had heartbreaks at RG.

Good call from Bungle as usual on the… ahem, fragility, of Musetti.

Djokovic lasers in on the second serve, hits some returns deep to the BH, and Musetti gives away 3 cheap errors missing long.

4-4.
