He passed one round so far but now he needs to beat the same player who beat him last year at the same venue! Can Djokovic do it?

After watching part of the Djok match from yesterday, it’s clear he wants this RG25 title badly. He was never going to play Miami.

And I wouldn’t be surprised if he skips Madrid as part of his prep, just so that he can have more prep time on sea level European red clay.

He may not want to play more than 2 rounds in Monte Carlo, but it’s all part of his larger ramp-up schedule to peak 6 weeks from now.
