Monte Carlo semis- Djokovic vs Wawrinka

This is a rematch of last years Rome final. Also a rematch of their match a month ago on hard courts which Djokovic also won. If Djokovic wins it pretty much ensures retaining his #3 spot as Murray has virtually no shot of reaching the final being in Nadal's half.

I say Djokovic in straight sets. I just dont think Wawrinka can take him out on clay, especially if Djokovic plays anywhere as good as he did against Verdasco.

Djokovic in 3 I think is most likely, potentially 2 if he plays his best continuously but he's been prone to dropping off a bit still this tourny.

Stans been playing good and with a lot of confidence but I think he's likely to come up a little short tomorrow.

Interesting point, I'm sure he'd like to stave off Murray for as long as possible/entirely and a big result here would really set him for the rest of the clay season.

I think you can make a pretty good case for it being an important match for Stan as well actually; if he wins this match then not only does he pick up some good ranking points (or covers last years final @ Rome if you want to look at it that way) but he'll have beaten 2 of the top 3 this tournament as well.

Wawrinka has only 5 points to defend here and has currently a +360 which will move him up to #13 from #16. Quite a jump. And he will be only 100 points behind Ferrer (#12) and 500 from Monfils (#10). So its big time for Wawrinka. And he will be at Barcelona but not Tsonga or Monfils. If he does well there, he could move up higher.
