This is a rematch of last years Rome final. Also a rematch of their match a month ago on hard courts which Djokovic also won. If Djokovic wins it pretty much ensures retaining his #3 spot as Murray has virtually no shot of reaching the final being in Nadal's half.

I'm really looking forward to this match. Would love to see Stan take out Djoker and show he's a force on clay. My biased mind says Stan in two.

I say Djokovic in straight sets. I just dont think Wawrinka can take him out on clay, especially if Djokovic plays anywhere as good as he did against Verdasco.

Djokovic in 3 I think is most likely, potentially 2 if he plays his best continuously but he's been prone to dropping off a bit still this tourny.

Stans been playing good and with a lot of confidence but I think he's likely to come up a little short tomorrow.

I don't know who to pick. I need to clear up my head from emotional attachments. I didn't watch Stan's match today. How was it?

Fed will probably ask Wawa to beat Djok.

Wawrinka takes out Nalby after Nalbandian took out Fed in DC:
Roger asked me to win it for him....and I was very happy to help out Roger, it was nice to take revenge.

It is hard for me to say as I think Wawrinka is probably playing better this event form wise but Djokovic is mentally tougher. I like both players so I dont really care who wins.

I voted for Novak because of his blue suede shoes:D (i really want to see him click the heels together when he wins)

I'm taking Wawrinka with the upset in 3 sets. This guy's coming off a great week of tennis, and I'm really hoping he can play a great match tmrw and come through.

Agreed. Thank you very much. Well put.

Wawa, eh? Where have you been? Watching the MC at all? There is real interest in the first clay tournament and lots of upsets.

Since Djokovic got the better of a confident, new and improved Verdasco, I have to go with him. Although I think it will be tight as Wawrinka will want to do his fellow swiss proud.

I expect Wawrinka to play a good game. Am not sure Djokovic will do the same. He is not 100% back, as far as I am concerned. So, lets see what happens. This is an important match for Djokovic. He really needs to work hard on this one. A lot is riding on it.

Interesting point, I'm sure he'd like to stave off Murray for as long as possible/entirely and a big result here would really set him for the rest of the clay season.

I think you can make a pretty good case for it being an important match for Stan as well actually; if he wins this match then not only does he pick up some good ranking points (or covers last years final @ Rome if you want to look at it that way) but he'll have beaten 2 of the top 3 this tournament as well.

Wawrinka has only 5 points to defend here and has currently a +360 which will move him up to #13 from #16. Quite a jump. And he will be only 100 points behind Ferrer (#12) and 500 from Monfils (#10). So its big time for Wawrinka. And he will be at Barcelona but not Tsonga or Monfils. If he does well there, he could move up higher.

The Bryan Bros. are into the Doubles Final... saving 1 match point along the way.
