Think you are being waaaaay too positive here now.IMO this should be a nightmare matchup for Nadal. Medvedev really reminds of 2011 Djokovic by playing style-he can play baseline rallies forever and never misses. Also has a lot of power, a strong serve, also his net game improved a lot. I really want to believe Nadal will think of some plan. If he tries to grind to Medvedev's backhand he is going to lose this match 6-1 6-2.

Wtf? If Nadal gets into baseline exchanges vs Med he's gonna lose 6-0 then retire in the second set out of sheer fear.IMO this should be a nightmare matchup for Nadal. You can laugh as much as you want. Fact is (not an opinion, this is a fact), Medvedev in this tournament plays waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Nadal. If both keep their current levels Medvedev will win easy. But we'll see, the level might change from match to match.Wtf? If Nadal gets into baseline exchanges vs Med he's gonna lose 6-0 then retire in the second set out of sheer fear.
Oh well, the master of wrong predictions strikes again. And of course when Nadal will lose you will escape like you always do.I think the 1st set will be very tough to win for Rafa, but then Medvedev will start to lose his focus and make more errors just like today. And his 2nd serve is vulnerable so it shouldn’t be a problem to break, unless he comes out with a 1st serve % higher than 70.
Half of Sabooshs’ daily output, no?
Nah I'm serious tho. Med is playing godly tennis right now I don't think Rafa can handle him facing him for 2 sets, Med's level is too scary. You can laugh as much as you want. Fact is (not an opinion, this is a fact), Medvedev in this tournament plays waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Nadal. If both keep their current levels Medvedev will win easy. Shut your duck up, ClarkyOh well, the master of wrong predictions strikes again. And of course when Nadal will lose you will escape like you always do.![]()
I really hope Rafa will manage to even make it through the first set.Wtf? If Nadal gets into baseline exchanges vs Med he's gonna lose 6-0 then retire in the second set out of sheer fear.
That was a little kid who doesn’t know how to fight!I expect a repeat of 2018.
The NextGen kid will be overwhelmed in the opening set. Then he'll settle in and make it close in the 2nd, but it'll be too little too late.
Gael has been a walking injury machine for 10 years now. This wasn't a rest issue, it's a Monfils issue. He wouldn't be in shape to play Rafa right now even with 24 hours rest.as if we needed any further proof that they didn't give Gael enough rest.
Sheet didn’t beat Street, Street was just off against Khachanoff and got blasted off the court.Sheet beat Street. Spreadsheet needs to serve well to cover Bull-ets from the baseline.
Good serving Sheet in 3. Bad serving Sheet gets bull-ied in 2.
Yeah otherwise it's looking like a 6-1, 6-2 beatdown. Poor Rafa.I really hope Rafa will manage to even make it through the first set.
Probably gonna hit 30 UE that first set alone. The Bullsheet Russian is just too good.
He did find a way to beat RBA despite seeming like he was running on fumes after every point in the 3rd set. Considering the rain delay and the ridiculously short turnaround time between matches, I'm not surprised he withdrew. He probably would have gotten beat by Rafa soundly anyway.Gael has been a walking injury machine for 10 years now. This wasn't a rest issue, it's a Monfils issue.
