Really now? I agree they're not the same thing, but they have everything to do with each other. Talent leads to results; if it didn't, what would stop you or me from winning a slam?

never believe the mainstream US sports media...ridiculous hype on young rod.
eg 5-6slams like many think djoko will end up with.

For me Federer is overrated because it only takes a "one trick pony" to beat him. Whatever happened to that "multi-talented player" everyone is whining about? Can't believe the people who thinks he is the goat when his balls shrunk tenfolds all those times he lost to Nadal.
Yeah, it's the spanish media that rules the world, with aim to make the whole world idolize Nadal. What do you care if Nadal fans think he is the best?
That proves Federer might have achieved most but no way the best player ever. You don't need talent to beat him. All you need is play with your left hand to throw him off, according to you.
This is utter rubbish. I am a big Fed fan, but you got give credit where it is due. The reason for Fed's low first serve % is because Nadal forcing Fed to go for more aces. If you play against someone who makes you uncomfortable, your serve, along with the rest of your game, will break down.
I still believe Fed is a better tennis player than Nadal despite their h2h stat, but Fed's inability to handle Rafa's topspin fh to his bh is what contributes his miserable serving when playing Rafa.

I do like Nadal. I do think he could make a strong attack on the GOAT title when he reaches 15+ slams. What I don't understand is why his fanboys are so utterly ******** compared to other fanboys on this forum?

No I think Nadal is ranked #2 on the ATP rank and I respect that. I didn't mean Nadal have no talent. It is common knowledge Nadal excels at clay and has been successful on other surfaces in slams and it is due to his playing style of running down every ball. I don't ever see him serving like roddick or volleying like edberg like federer do. I believe much of OMFG!! NADAL IS GOAT NOT LAVER is due to his left-handed play suitable against federer.
No I didn't - I respect Nadal. But his fans like you are the continuously embarrasing Nadal by showing your '****ity. Why do you constantly blame injuries for Nadals losses? Talk down Söderlings achievements? Nadal fans on this forum is horse dung. Where has Roddick serve taken him? Maybe he should play more like Nadal so that he can win more than one slam. Nobody today volleys like Stefan. You are an idiot if you think Federer can. The ATP is not only about Federer in case you didn't know. Nadal has a winning record against everyone in the top 10.
There are probably some Nadal fans who joke around claiming he is GOAT. I've been here long enough to know that there are probably 2 or three guys who did that, and it makes you mad because you want everyone to worship Federer. If that's the case, I hope these few individuals never stop doing that, and hopefully it drives you even more insane.
Did you hear what Birger Folke and Rolf Nordberg said during Nadal's 1st or second round match at the FO? They said Nadal's knees have not fully recovered after the Djokovic match in Madrid where he had cortisone shots on both knees directly after the match. They didn't think it would carry him to the FO title.
No. I don't make excuses for every Nadal's loss. Tsonga outplayed him last year at the AO and Gonzales the year before that. Nalbandian crushed him twice indoors. Federer has beaten him fair and square, twice at wimbledon and Hamburg, and twice at the YEC. Murray has outplayed him a couple of times and so has Djokovic and there a couple more where he was fully fit and got beaten.
Did Söderling outplay a healthy Nadal at the FO? HELL NO!!
