I've seen both of these guys up close at Indian Wells and they both have massive shots.

Since these guys are squaring off in Rome I thought I'd post this question.

Who has the more powerful FH overall. Post video evidence to prove your point!

I vote Verdasco for individual FHs but Thiem for average FH pace and spin.

I honestly think that Thiem's FH will go down as one of the best in tennis history. When he controls the shot, there is not much separating it from the best ever. Purely devastating.

Tough one. Verdasco's is miles better because he has accuracy and spin to complement that power but Thiem just blasts it as hard as he can.

I saw Verdasco live against Klizan and even Klizan hit noticeably bigger forehands than Verdasco. Thiem is probably the heaviest hitter on tour at the moment with his forehand, but because of the technique Verdasco's power looks so much easier

I think Thiem is hands down one of the most energetic players on the tour. He hits the ball very hard. Of course, some would say hitting harder is for idiots... Doesnt necessarily mean he is gonna hit more winners. But as far as energy and "power", I think Thiem hits harder. Only Nadal in his younger days compares.

Nadal’s FH average mph has gone up significantly since 2006. Not sure about RPM.
