Most aesthetically pleasing one handed backhand?

#1
The question - which professional player do you think has the most beautiful/best looking/aesthetically pleasing one hander? Current players? All time? Keep in mind this is not about who has the best one hander.

I think I would vote for Federer but there are many to choose from.

I can't believe this question has not been asked on the forum but a search turned up nothing.

Borg's long and low take-back gets me every time, beautiful and majestic.

Edit: Oops, you said one-handers... oh well, still a thing of beauty even on the wrong thread.

Edberg of course, not even a question as far as I'm concerned. For gracefulness, strength and balance, Edberg's ohbh is the only one for me.

Work your way through these one video at a time :

Wawrinka - topspin BH
Edberg - slice BH, topspin/flat also gd
Federer - at his peak, he had the nastiest, short crosscourt slice I've ever seen
Haas - simple and smooth like an avocado

currently, Suarez Navarro has a beauty, as does cuevas, fed, kohlschreiber, haas, almagro.

hard to pick one but i'd be happy with peak fed's, so whippy.

Almagro, Gasquet and Suarez-Navarro. Kohlschreiber and Cuevas to a lesser extent. They all have that whirling motion over the head (the backhand-version of the buggy-whip forehand) that I find the ultimate in tennis aesthetics. Produces such a heavy, whipping shot and is something that is physically impossible with a two-handed backhand.

Federer and Haas are average to me in terms of aesthetics.

Poor 1hbh aesthetics are Wawrinka and Thiem. They both use a different style of 1hbh to the traditional one - it is much more dependent on torso rotation and resembles a 2hbh - but with a longer lever arm. Because the stroke resembles a 2hbh it's not gonna win aesthetic awards from me, but I love the technical innovation and am glad that this stroke exists and is active in the game.

Federer, Gasquet, Haas have the nicest looking ones currently. Almagro's and Youzhny's don't look too bad either.

And as many have said before, Edberg's was a thing of beauty back in the day.

Dudi Sela's looked excellent the other day, I think it was at Istanbul. At a certain point a stroke is perfect and the range of motion can't be improved on.

Justine Henin for the women's side for sure. Her one hander was a thing of beauty. Alot of good 1 handers on the men's side including Fed but I think Gasquet has the more solid stroke and more consistent.

LoboLaw1984, It's really funny that nobody mentioned the most beautiful one-handed backhand of all time, Ken Rosewall's...
