In your opinion what is the name brand & model of the most awesome tennis shoes you've worn on the court. By awesome I mean the combination of comfort and performance.
Finding the right shoe is a constant struggle.
It seems there are two opposing forces at work.
1. Everybody's feet are different to some extent- so- there is
no one perfect shoe out there. There is always a compromise between softness
and support, lightness and durability, fashion and utility,. the shoe with the
perfect fit- length, width, arch, heel, vamp, snuggness, affordability... may lack other desirable qualities.
2. No sooner do you find the shoe that best shoe- a shoe you can live with, then the next
season a new design shows up on the market- and the exhausting process repeats.
those were good shoes. heavy, but comfy and plenty of support. seems a shame that they disappearedAdidas Barricade 7 (aka Novak) - comfortable with great support. I played mostly with them from 2012-2019 and they would last 70-90 hours on hard courts which is about 2 months for me. Since they had a six-month sole warranty, I invariably got a second pair free. I think I played with more than 30 pairs over the years.
I agree with you in a sense. However, I find that sometimes they feel good in the house but then on the court they may not feel so good when you actually put some time on the court. I have had that happen more than once. A waste of money if they do not feel good on the court. Thanks y'all. I'll try out some of these. Thank goodness for the internet where I can just order multiple brands and sizes, then simply send back the ones that don't fit or perform good enough.

B4 were durable and super stable but definitely not comfortable off the court…Adidas Barricade IV (2008?) I had a friend who closed down his pro shop and sold me four pairs, $75 each. These were the greatest tennis shoes ever made. Unbelievable comfort and durability. Every pro at the club wore them and loved them. Absolute legendary shoe.
Not tried them in a while but I've come across quite a few other people with the same issue I have had in the past -- Asics, Adidas and some of the other more popular alternatives that ppl often rave about, are just too damn narrow for my D+ feet.but the shoe that has the best affordability, snuggness, performance, etc across the most cross-section of people is considered the best shoe. True, it can't fit everyone but that's the benchmark.
The mostest awesomest athletic shoes I've tried are technically not tennis shoes. They are x-trainers from Nike. I am referring to their Air Monarch athletic shoes. I have found them quite suitable for tennis, badminton, volleyball & general walking around. In your opinion what is the name brand & model of the most awesome tennis shoes you've worn on the court. I'm not sure these are the most comfortable, but the Resolutions seemed to work the best for managing knee pain.
