Most durable polyester string on the market

A friend of mine is using an oversized 16x19 racket and he breaks his strings very easily. Even the yonex polytour pro 16g snaps in 15 hours.

I need the most durable poly ever for him, any advice?

Sorry, i failed to understand where's the problem.
15 hours for a poly is more than enough...

If he wants serious durability he should go the kevlar route!

I meant under 15 hours, could be 10 hours. And some people who don't own a stringing machine want to play as long as possible. Kevlar is not an option due to its comfort.

That's also pretty good, 10 hours on a co-poly string. Co-poly can and often dies even sooner. But yeah, in an open pattern and oversize racquet, well even a second hand dropweight stringer will do, because it eats strings.

The Gosen poly (Ice, etc) are very durable, but not very soft. You friend will likely get more than 10-15 hours; beyond that though, he really should restring.

Durable? Poly? *facepalm*

For all poly newbies out there, do not try to use poly for more than 5-8 hours in a full bed setup. It loses all the little elasticity it had and becomes "dead" (too stiff and unresponsive). It's not very arm friendly when fresh, and it's a hazard when dead.
If you want to get more playtime out of poly, use it with synthetic gut mains (up to 12-15 hours), or better yet, natural gut mains (25-40 hours).

Some people like their poly when it's dead. I played 25 hours with some poly's and still loved it before it broke. So I guess it's personal and I'm not a 'poly newbie'.
So my question is: which poly will take longer to break than after 10-15 hours in the oversized 16x19 pattern. Thank you.

Lux 4g. This stuff is damn near unbreakable... I break poly pretty fast and this stuff won't break for me. Course, I think it feels like @$@#!$ but heh, you asked for unbreakable :)

I fear that with all those dead poly players the "I have serious arm problems" topics will sky rocket in a few years.

If you are looking for unbreakable, Pacific Poly Force is one, this stuff takes ages to even notch. Plus it plays better and longer than most other hard polys.

Try luxilon 4G 15G. It should last a long time. Also it may keep tension and playability longer than the earlier generation polys. Also big banger original, stiff, but relatively hard to break.

I would recommend also the better alternative. Buy a reel of poly, like signum pro poly plasma or the yonex pro tour, maybe $80-100. That works out to $5-$6 a string job. Buy a drop weight stringing machine $150. Restring each time it breaks or every 10 hours.

The toughest, good playing poly I've come across so far is TF RedCode 1.30.
A little on the stiff side, but far better than Polyon or Duralast

Have you tried Luxilon 4G? It's actually a nice string. I use it at 56 lbs on my 2012 Wilson 95 (16x18). It feels good and for a smooth string spin production is nice.
