Andrea Jaeger lost 9 finals in 1982, including 8 in a row that year, one of which was at Roland Garros. However she lost 5 out of those finals to Evert, and the other 4 to Navratilova, so it's safe to say she was falling short against a higher standard of opponents than Wozniacki this year.

I looked it up - it was either 7 or 8 lost* (5 vs McEnroe, 2 vs Connors, 1 vs Jarryd)

* One of the finals was in Rotterdam, a match against Connors abandoned due to a bomb scare. Lendl was winning 6-0, 1-0 at the time of the abandonment!
