Hello,

What is the most stable 98 square inch 300/305 g, with good feel? I like to play a lot with volleys and touch shots, and a stable feel is very important to me.

I am particularly interested in a comparison between the Blade 98 16x19 v8 or v9, Tecnifibre TF40 16x19 (2022), Prince Tour 98, Radical MP (2021 or 2023), but I am open to any suggestions.

Thanks!

The Prince Tour 98 is very stable in hand. If you have to go 98, but the Phantom 100P and Tour 310 are very stable for 100s.

With good feel (depends how you define good feel)? Tec Tfight 305 or Blade 18x20.
Pure Aero and Radical MP are unforgiving for me at least, Blade 16x19 is't bad but it's certainly not most stable.

Ezone 98 for sure (blade Pro but it is not an easy recommendation)

Blade 98, the18x20 pattern, but I found the Ezone 98 more stable

NO on the ezone 98 for me.

when I think stable, I am not necessarily thinking plow, I'm thinking the volley at net.
am I wrong?

so for stable....
these two are very stable:

radical mp - too stiff for me, nothing for free
extreme pro - not as stiff, comfy for me, more for free, perfection.

both amazing stability for stock 300/305 crew!

the blade 98 18x20 is a 330 SW, don't think the OP is looking for that, when he asks about 300/305 sticks.

Yup at least the ezones I have are more stable than the blades on slices and at net. Less connected/feel but more stable. Maybe i got an underperforming v9 Blade idk. Ezones are rock solid in terms of twisting.

Classic prestige. Or the new gravity98 might be a good choice.

Aero 98, TFIGHT 305 and Strike 98 are the best I’ve tested. High stiffness and head weight are key.

Ime, the PA98 is the easiest 98 to play, when it comes to power, stability and spin. It's a no brainer on clay, which is why I'm keeping mine til clay season comes around again. Ofc it's great on hc as well, it's just that depth, high trajectory and spin doesn't give as much of a leverage as on clay.

I tried prince ats 98 and it is a pretty stable racquet for volleying. I am currently using artengo tr960 control tour but need some lead to beef it up.

Boom pro is crazy stable. Prob best racket I've used at handling heavier pace/balls. Just a little heavy at times.
You should try the clash 98, better balance considering the weight, perfect for heavy pace. Boom pro is only better at serve

If you are a one-handed tennis backhand player, maybe you can take a look at the zus 100 70ra 305g/320cm. This stick gives me the best SLR and volley experience. It is no different from an ordinary 98 racket in terms of swing.

tfight 305 18x19 crazy stability for a 305g frame.... another old school racquet i find fairly stable for its weight is the wilson hammer 5.3 midplus ... i added a few grams on the handle .. nice stick ( i believe that aproxximadly the henin's but without power holes

Aero 98 and strike 98. Blade isn’t bad but isn’t in the category of the above.

Pure strike 98 is the best racket for my backhand I have ever played. Not as good for my whippy forehand.

Pa 98 is unique because it has a fairly light static weight, headlight balance, low swingweight but outstanding stability. One of the few frames I like it for my whippy forehand and relatively flat backhand. Very rare to find a racket that can excel at both.

and do u have the PSC 6.1 95 + ? what specs..and do u know what grommets fits in a hyper 6.1 18x20 as well?
AFAIK 18x20 grommets should be interchangeable in models prior to 2014 model when parallel drilling was introduced. However, Pro Labs v13 and v14 don’t have parallel drilling.
If you’re willing to grind the grommet holes a little, you can fit any grommets into any iteration.

interesting.. i will check out for sure.. thanks!

Like others here I would recommend the Pure Aero 98. It's probably one of the best stock frames out of the box that requires no customization that does everything well. Plenty of controllable power, easy access to topspin and slice, good feel, a nice 16x20 pattern for great targeting, solid stability all around, and very maneuverable for what it's worth. Top tier pick easily!

Another vote for the PA 98. It is the best volleying frame I have ever tried, and that’s a whole lot of racquets. It has a unique blend of mobility and stability. Virtually every shot is just effortless.

I have been tempted to switch many times, but I just don’t serve as well with it as my regular frame, and that’s my biggest weapon. It still calls to me, though. I’ve demoed it 3 times.

BTW, if stability is your main concern, the PD 98 is like a rock, and it also volleys well.
