Most talented NextGen player?

Who is the most talented NextGen player?

Hey guys! This is my first thread on TTW, but I’m bored on a Thursday afternoon and trying to kill some time before Djokovic-Sinner. Zverev’s performance against Alcaraz yesterday had me wondering - who in your opinion is the most *talented* player out of the NextGen? It goes without saying but talented ≠ successful, which I think would clearly be Medvedev.

I’m not going to set out a criteria for what I consider ‘talent’ to be, so I’ll leave that up to you guys. Interested to see some of the takes on here.

Ah shucks, as soon as I posted this some similar thread recommendations came up (which weren’t suggested beforehand). Apologies if this topic has been done to death already

Zverev. It's just that he is too mentally messed up.

Nick is pretty disgustingly talented. Zverev is a genetic freak but suffers from mental midgetry.
The rest are okay. Med's more talented than many think, because pulling off his brand of tennis ain't easy at all.

Nick by an overwhelming margin, there's no point debating it. No other player in the poll has ATG's like Mac say Nick's the most talented player since Fed:

Brad Gilbert said he's the most talented:

Paul Annacone said, "Nick is by far the most talented player since Roger":

Anyone claiming it's someone other than Nick can post any quotes from any past player naming someone else as more talented. They won't find any.

I don't know. I mean Nick didn't ever really do anything with his career.

Was he really that talented?

Media hype.

These are the same people who claim that Djokovic is playing the best tennis of his career at 36 years old. They also say that Alcaraz is better than the Big 3 at the same age.

These guys are just owned by the media and they are paid to say that.

How many times has Wilander been caught in a lie? What about McEnroe?

Also, saying that Nick Kyrgios is the most talented player since Roger Federer is the most ridiculous thing that I've ever heard.

Nadal wasn't more talented than Nick? Novak wasn't more talented than Nick?

Del Potro wasn't more talented than Nick?

Really??

Do they think we're stupid??

Kyrgios has the most talent but the least brain on court.

Been great in the commentary booth though.

Is this pure skills or are we considering things like physical gifts, movement, etc

If so Nick, if not, honestly Thiem

Not sure of the definition of NextGen, but Hurkacz seems freaky athletic to me. Of those listed I'd choose Zverev.

I consider Timmy to be the youngest pup in the litter known as #LostGen so that disqualifies him for me in this discussion. I hate to say it because of his character but for me it’s Zedrot. Kryngios has the best touch but his ground game is so far behind most of the other guys on the list. Besides his serve what else is he elite at?

Zverev is one of the few guys on this list (besides Medvedev and Thiem) to have actually had a pretty solid career.

He's won multiple masters 1000s, World Tour Finals events, and an Olympic gold medal.

The only thing missing for him is a slam. His results at the slams have been consistent, but poor in the later rounds.
