Mounting Prince Pro Tour original squash racket

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could offer some insight in how to better mount a squash racquet I have been given. Its a Prince Pro Tour Original 750 where the strings wrap around the power ring thing near the throat however the actual throat is very narrow and I am struggling with the best way to mount on my StringMaster Deluxe LE as the mount post is wider than the gap. There is a nice adapter that came with the machine for a narrower point but the length of that adapter is longer than the gap from the power ring to the throat. The badminton posts are fractionally narrower than the standard tennis ones but dont have a plastic guard (except the wide load spreader for badminton).

As you can see from the picture I think if I tighten this up the plastic guard is putting pressure to either side of the racquet and there is a D shaped gap to the actual throat - will that be enough to potentially crack the frame when stringing it?

I have done a number of other squash racquets but they always have enough space at the throat, this is the first Prince one with the power ring and where it is really close to the throat.

Thanks in advance!

This will be fine. Ive strung plenty of squash rqts like this.

Also, if you dont know with these rqts, you only pull tension from the head

Hi and thank you for the quick response. Yes I have done a few similar to this just never with the really tight throat - I think on my old dropweight it had a curved plastic protector on the throat mount so it fit in nicely and I just dont want to ruin my record of not breaking a frame... where is some wood to touch!

Just waiting on the string to arrive in the next few days as they wanted something specific I didnt stock then will update once strung.

Again appreciate the quick response (y)
