Mr Olympia 2021

It's that time of the year again for Bodybuilding fans... Mr Olympia 2021 is almost here.

Reigning defending undisputed champion Big Ramy, who looked absolutely insane last year, winning his first title famously said before the show - "Winter's coming" This year he has stated "Winter is here to stay for a long time"

He goes in as favorite to me, if Ramy brings in the conditioning to match his size, he will be very difficult to beat.

However, the one guy I am very keen to see stand side by side with him this year is Hadi Choopan. Who has been looking better and better with each passing year. IMO, he had beat Phil Heath, the 7 time champion last year. Unquestionably the most vascular and conditioned man on the planet at the moment.

And the other guy I want to see up there, is 2019 Olympia champion Brandon Curry, who has continued to improve at an incredible rate. Insane rounded muscle bellies.

I cannot see anyone other than these three as the top three. I still think Ramy wins this, but the competition will be fierce this show.

What are the antidoping protocols about in body building?
In case they exist, which substances are prohibited?

They most usually repeat as champs except for Chris Dickerson, Franco Columbo, Samir Bannout, etc.;) Big Ramy repeats or it's finally time for Winklaar to shine.

I think horse-steroids and such are still allowed in moderate use
Glad I found somebody who answered my question. I will take advantage of that asking a few more.
Are those substances harmful for human consumption? How does their safety compare to that of covid vaccines?

Hitman, I take it you heard the news about Braun Strowman being an analyst for the Mr. Olympia power arm championships. It made me click on the article and then I found out about other analysts, including Martin Kove. I have watched one of his workouts before when I was on the Cobra Kai site. Very impressive.

I saw the conference yesterday.

Watching the women today and the pre-judging tonight for open division, then tomorrow finals and classic physique. Really looking forward to this.

We've seen better from Big Ramy.

Is Hunter a pontential Mr. O some day, you think?

Ramy was carrying too much water during pre-judging, I actually had Brandon ahead, even though the official score card still had Ramy winning by one point. On finals night, Ramy did tighten up a lot and was the rightful winner at the end, but yes, we saw a better version last year.

Hunter will be Mr Olympia in the future, it is too obvious, he has great flow to his body, but having said that, he looked like a swimming pool when he was squeezing out all that water during the mandatory call out, and I think he should not have been placed above Nick.

On 13th Sep 2022, Big Ramy appeared on Denis James’ ‘The Menace Podcast’. Retired bodybuilders, Milos Sarcev and Chris Cormier also joined the pair. Around 30 minutes into the podcast, James asked, “Let me ask you something Ramy… Let’s say Ramy is not doing the Olympia this year. Give me your top three.”; While the question drew a laugh from Sarcev, Ramy wasted no time in answering the question. “Willaim (Bonac), Brandon (Curry) and Hadi (Choopan)”, said Elssbiay.

Two-time champ Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay most probably will collect a third straight Mr. O come December 2022.
