MSV Co-Focus vs. Luxilon ALU Power Rough

Has anyone tried these strings? I like alu power rough in a hybrid with gut. Is MSV CO-Focus more like alu power rough? How does these two compare for feel, power, control, and bite? Would it be a good idea to use MSV Co- Focus in crosses with gut mains if I want the characteristics and playability just like how it plays with alu power rough in crosses with gut?

There are multiple threads on the use of MSV Co. Focus as a cross to gut. Here are two of the more popular:

As well as one covering alternatives/comparisons to Co. Focus:

In short, Co. Focus is a smooth round poly, and ALU Power Rough is...rough. As a result, you don't get the 'snap back' action with ALU Rough that you get with Co. Focus (or similar round polys). ALU Rough also plays much stiffer than Co. Focus and has less power.

I've tried both and prefer the feel, spin & power of Co. Focus crosses, but that is just me. You may prefer the stiffness & low power of ALU Rough. I know this sounds 'Master of the Obvious', but it also depends on racquet, string bed, tension, and playing style.

Effectively, only you can tell if Co. Focus works for your game.

Yeah but I like the rough feel on luxilon because it bites into the ball and it enhances power spin and control. Which poly comes close to luxilon alu power rough on crosses with natural gut mains??
