Djokovic-Almagro final will start after Ferrer and Tipsy
Left his get out of jail cards at home. First set Almagro
Almagro makes a double fault on BP, Novak leads 2-1 in the 2nd set.
I don't think I've ever seen Almagro play a serve and volley point before today.
Nice FH from Novak, SP.
Takes the 2nd set, entertaining stuff so far, they're both having some good fun on court.
Just tuned in - nicely poised in the 3rd at 3-3
djoker trying way too hard and almagro is a choker
Nice start of the season from Novak with defense of the title, fun match overall, good show from both guys.
So are you.
Good start for Djokovic, on the other, exhibition matches should not last this long, I hope he will not spend a lot of energy in Perth.
I see you missed my point but oh well.
You mad ******? 8)
Don't worry, with Nadal out of the equation, there's no 5 hr back-to-back matches to deal with.
anybody have the taped final ? now I can't watch this thing anywhere
Are you talking about last year? Don't know if Nadal tanked it. Monfils played pretty good and Nadal gets upset from time to time on non-clay surfaces. Federer didn't tank, he didn't play the semi at all because of back aches or something like that. Tsonga played an exhibition set against Edberg there, was pretty fun to watch.
The final was pretty hilarious. And it was nice to see the umpire joining in on the fun, too.
I did? What was the point then? I thought your point was that you didn't see Djoko go all out after Abu Dhabi last year. I just think this is a bit of an exaggeration although I would agree with you that Novak was too passive for a lot of last year's matches. A lot but not all. That was my only point really.
Yes I was a tad exaggerating with my expert analysis.
No prob. Hope we'll get to see a lot more of it this year!
