Muliti tension advice requested

Hi guys! I am currently happily in the gut main poly crosses camp at 62 lbs on the mains and 55 lbs on the smooth poly crosses.

I have a backup stick for wet weather, etc. that I recently have been stinging with a sharp shaped poly in the mains (hyper-G or Lux Eco Power or the like) and a round poly (Kirshbaum pro line or Isospeed Cream, etc) in the crosses
I usually string it at 55 lbs. Main and 50 lbs crosses. Since it doesn't get much play, I usually don't cut it out until it begins to feel dead.

I have some multis and would like to experiment with a multi in the mains and a smooth poly in the crosses. Trying to create something closer to that gut feel.
Maybe i am doing it wrong, but I seem to get a result that just feels..... dead.... no real power,,,, no real touch..... ( I think I strung the mains at 62 lbs crosses at 55 the first time and that was probably a mistake)

Sooooooo..... options?

poly in the mains, multi in the crosses?
drop tension in the mains to say 55?
raise tension in the crosses?
drop tension waaayyyyy down?
other options?

I'm looking for the same thing as my wet indoor courts in winter don't allow gut.

I'll have a set of various multis to try in the next weeks and will update here.

So far I haven't found anything great but from the few tries it definitely needs lower tension than gut.
X-One biphase is supposedly one of the most powerful multis so that's worth trying.

I string a lot of gut/poly and multi/poly hybrids but usually don't go so high in the tension and usually have more differential than you do which also may help.

Personally I like gut 16g/poly 17g at 58/53 with either Ghostwire, Cream, or Poly Tour Fire in the cross and so when I string up multi/poly I do the same swapping out velocity 16g for the gut.

Wet indoor courts ? How is that possible, our indoor courts are for sure dry unless there is a hole in the roof :)

Very humid clay courts, bad ventilation/roof.
The gut breaks in one 2-hour session instead of the usual 20-30 hours.

Give Volkl Power Fiber Pro a try in your mains. If you are at 62 for NG, I would start with 58 or 59 with this.
