Err, still no thread for this highly acticipated rematch? Okay I'll create one at this last minute.

Would love another slugfest between those two, just because I want to see Murray's form plus it's always a great story when a player peaks or makes a comeback in the late stage of their career. ;)

Do you think Murray will get his "revenge" or Ramos-Vinolas at the age of 29 can embarass the world no1 once again?

If Ramos is not tired from the late evening yesterday, we could see a decent match. Lopez kept it close to Murray by missing a lot of chances so on paper Ramos should do even better!

It seems I was the only one who voted for Ramos in the Pouille match not because it's shorter to type ARV than Pouille :p.

Turns out he even breadtsicked the French hot shot. But since he's been playing a lot already while Murray is still so fresh, I expect Murray to win this one as easily as possible. Otherwise people will continue to bash him as the worst world no1 ever. :(

The Latter Day Saint Murray will fillet the Spanish rabbit, and prepare him with rice, bajoqueta and garrofón, some snails, and then season with appropriate measures of saffron and rosemary and coarsely ground sea salt and peppers. Rejoice!

Murray should tank, not play Madrid and Rome, tank RG, tank YE#1 and focus on Wimbly and getting his game back together again

Murray looks to his camp with disgust.

One of modern tennis's great joys on display.

If Ramos wins this match, would he be a top 10 favorite for RG, odds wise ?!
He is not bad of course, but I don’t think beating Murray these days is a real indicator. I would rather value his performance against Nadal at Monte Carlo and therefore I say he has no chance at RG.

But just in the top 10 (which means a Quarterfinal with a bit of luck)? Well, maybe yes...

Murray always seems to wear grey + black, black + grey, white etc. So dull.

No colour at all in his outfits. I preferred his adidas days.

If Murray can't even handle the much weaker prototype version of Nadal, how is going to beat the real thing?

I think Murray is done. ARV is clearly in form recently with some good wins over Andy and Cilic but i feel like this would not of happened last year and even against Lopez, people were saying he was better because Lopez was playing well, Lopez is a grass player and is usually awful on clay and Murray made him look like he was good. I could clearly see he was no way near title form.

I'm not sure i see a recovery for Murray or Djokovic this year. Maybe Murray could snatch Queens again or possibly go deep at Wimbledon but i don't think he's going to come anywhere near defending the hard court titles he did last year and Novak looks like he's ready to move to Finland. Federer and Nadal just need to stay healthy and they'll be #1 and #2 again based on the year so far.

How many times have the top players lost to the same opponent in consecutive tournaments?

Federer against Nalbandian Madrid-Paris 2007

Federer against Canas IW-Miami 2007

Djokovic against Kyrgios Acapulco-IW 2017

Nadal against Federer IW-Miami 2017

Nadal against Djokovic IW-Miami 2011

Murray against Djokovic IW-Miami 2015

Murray might join this list soon.

Are there others I've missed?

Awful set from Murray, decent from ARV but nothing to special - Murray donated 5 games worth of UE's to the cause :O

Well, to be fair, Murray probably still has his injury lingered on. Terrible serving. But he'll come back in the 2nd set I guess.

Murray, Djokovic, and Nadal didn't meet at IW and Miami this year.

*Never mind. You got it.
