Murray is more aggresive than Djokovic right now!

Watching that new clayray he really has game. He is more aggresive than Djokovic , he has more power from both wings. Especially his backhand is more penetrating and heavier. His forehand, although more fragile and cannot hit that angles like Novak, is faster and more penetrating too. He was hitting sick backhand returns today against Ferrer.
I think Murray has most powerful shots from all big 4 right now when he is on attacking mode.

And Ferrer is the serving standard for the ROS, since when?

Nothing to discuss. Murray has the hardest (and most inconsistent) serve in the top 3. Wawrinka is the hardest hitter overall.

Even if Nadal isn't at his best, Murray would still never beat Nadal in straight sets at the FO. If Djokovic plays well, he'll dominate Murray, if Djokovic plays bad, he can still win by just outlasting Murray (like their AO matches). Murray has to play the match of his life and hope Djokovic plays horrible. If Murray doesn't develop a 2-0 set lead, he's going to lose. If Murray doesn't close the match out in under three hours, he is going to lose. If people think that Murray hits harder than Djokovic, that's fine, Djokovic really isn't the sort of person to ball bash, but Djokovic has a lot more game than Murray and can hurt Murray in a lot of different ways.

My prediction; Murray's serve gets him in trouble and Djokovic wins in straights.

Interesting, let's hope that he doesn't over aggresive himself against Joker like he did at the US Open last year

Is this a joke thread. I saw parts of the match, and it did not look so. He kept blowing leads by sitting back. Lost one set after being up 3-0 and even having a match point.

Maybe you saw the last set, i missed it.

what an effing joke

he's playing good but Ferru helped him look like Jesus

Djoko won't be allowing the same kind of play to be executed against him

don't forget he even had a lapse in the Ferru match and went back into defense mode

He played hard court tennis against Daveed, just blows him from the court.
We'll se him against Novak.
One is certain he plays his best season on clay.

Nole is a god & the only player who can beat him at RG is the guy he defeated today & then only if he is 100% fit & playing at 100%.

Lol..here we go! The usual 'it was nothing to do with Murray, his opponent just played bad" baloney!

Ever wonder why so many of Murray's opponents are forced to play badly against him? In any case, Ferrer was playing well and, in the previous round, had just destroyed Cilic who had been destroying all his earlier opponents! So what was Ferrer's excuse against Murray then, a guy he had beaten in their 4 previous meetings on clay?

Go on...give me a laugh! :)

Back to the serious business of the topic of this thread:

Murray is certainly playing more aggressively on clay than he used to do but I don't think ANY player is more aggressive than Djokovic at the moment with the possible exception of Wawrinka!

Murray has immense variety in his game (perhaps more so than Djokovic) but he still lacks Djoko's consistency and is still prone to lapses of concentration (eg. 2nd set against Chardy, 3rd set against Ferrer). He can't afford them against Djokovic!

If he upps his first service levels to Madrid standards and plays with the same aggression and focus as he did there, he could make things very interesting. If he doesn't, then the outcome will certainly not be pretty for him. But I'm sure he knows this!

Wawrinka though sorely lacks Djokovic's movement, defensive skills, fitness, and most of all mental strength. He is infamous for choking at the end of matches with Djokovic. Did it again at the Australian Open semis this year, which Djokovic managed to come back and win in the 5th set despite being held to 0 winners by Chokerinka in the 4th. Will probably happen again if they play in the finals this year.

Wawrinka doesnt seem to choke vs Murray as frequently as he does vs Djokovic and his Swiss dog Federer, so if he somehow upsets Djokovic it might be a better final. Wawrinka vs Djokovic would be a usual choke job by Wawrinka when playing Djokovic with the outcome certain, even if it somehow went 5.
