Murray Kokkinakis your impressions

I am lost for words. I have not the slightest idea how Sir Andy managed to turn this match around.
One of the best matches I have ever seen and best one since legendary Sinner Alcaraz USO QF.
Murray just showed us how good he is, that will, determination....
What are your impressions about this fabulous match?

Just sad Murray didnt win in less time, if you exclude the serve from both players, Murray would've won the last 2 sets like 6-2 6-2

I loved his match against Berrettini, and he somehow went and outdid it. Watching him make the effort to get forward in the last two sets was great, some of the points they played were unreal (remember their take on the Connors-Haarhuis point like a week ago?) some of those break point saves by Kokk in the fifth set were unREAL. The guy hit over 100 winners and lost the damn match. Incredible stuff.

Although Connors' point ended with a winner from him, while here 'Kokk''s balls shrank.

Unbelievable, as an Andy fan I was in cloud 9! Andy has certainly improved his match fitness and serves. One area that needs improvement is in maintaining the dominance in rally. Many times he gave up the attack in rally from the point of winning. By hitting slow and short forehands.
Andy truly has the biggest heart in tennis. Playing and winning such a match with a metal hip at the age of 35 is far superior love for tennis than winning 20 slams.

He must be more aggressive

Simply inspirational to all of us club hackers who battle injuries, age etc. Murray of course at his age and overcoming sport ending surgery but let's not forget Kokkinakis who was a player of immense promise ten years ago who only now is overcoming years of injuries and rehab to finally deliver on that promise.

Interested to see just how far Murray can take this resurgence and looking forward to perhaps Kokkinakis finally bring able to emerge from the shadow of Kyrgios and fulfill his potential.

Indeed. I lost count of the number of times Kokkinakis pulled an ace out of his ass when BPs down. Was absolutely peaking. As soon as the rallies started from about Set 4 on, Murray was mostly in control unless Kokkinakis went for the big forehand winner.

If Kokk can maintain that sort of level throughrout the year, he'll end up a top 30 player in no time.

Superb fighting effort by Murray but Kokkinakis must be lamenting this as one that got away. Playing against a guy who's 35 years of age, virtually on a zimmer frame and coming off a previous 5 set marathon, you really should convert when up 2 sets to love and a break.

The thrill and adrenaline Andy must have felt last night! Just awesome to see how amped up he was when he won.

That’s why he is still out there to have those big moments.

I just hope he can get through a few more matches without having to go 5 so he can have some fuel left in the tank.

Just imagine, there are some people who want to stop playing best of 5 in slams. It would be a crime against humanity.
Absolutely! And what I hate the most: Every time such a wonderful match happens, there will be someone who demands that change, "because as it is, it will diminish the winner's chances in the next round." Yesterday the same from the commentators in my stream. So paradoxically any such match, which should actually be an advertise for tennis, is a danger to some degree. Just as the Isner marathons that ended open fifth sets.

Sometimes the argument was even that such long matches are bad for the crowd. As if people wouldn't want to see as much as possible of what they like and what they paid for.

It is broken because Murray won't have enough energy left and will give his next opponent a virtual walkover.

Part of the reason Murray is unlikely to have the energy to challenge his next opponent is that he's a 35 year old who's had a hip replacement. It's not impossible for players in general to recover in two days from long matches.

Does he really have two days between the matches though?
