Murray to Yonex

Several videos have been shot of Andy practicing in Bordeaux with what looks to be an Ezone. I wondered whether he would play his match with it and if it would be blacked out, but it now seems he's not hiding the switch at all. Is this Murray's RF97 moment?

Well, Head will need a new poster boy for the radical.

Last week I got the Grand Daddy of all the EZones, a SRQ500, the extended version, I've yet to try the EZone, but it definitely seems like it might be very interesting

Love to see Ronin Muz have Neo Fed-like success than a Ferrer Pepé Le Pew exit.
Surprised he is not using a Percept 97D, its an amazing 18x20.

His FH looks like its suffering from feel and lack of confidence to go for it
as he is using more wrist to keep the ball in and that is not his style.

Rafa could wrist whip an EZ but Muz with lock & load style suits VC.

@dr325i 's post seems to confirm. and it definitely looks like an ez100...
Why doesnt' he use the 98 sq inch racket, Yonex do make those i believe. 100 is so far away from his old size,, didn't andy have problems with control with bigger head rackets and Lendl made him change back to smaller head size ??

I wonder what this will mean for the Radical line moving forwards.

Will they try and move somebody else over to be the big endorser, stick with Fritz as the main or could it end up without a big endorser like the Prestige line?

Very unlikely but could it go the same way as the Instinct line?

Gut in the mains at 27.5kg and a gray poly in the crosses. Could be either his beloved Alu Power or PT Strike.

Can’t fathom why. Career is over and he’s gonna use a modern yonex stick for 3-4 events and call it a career? hard to believe he’s wanting a slight edge that bad. Shame really, hope he comes to his sense and uses head for Wimbledon. Just doesn’t feel right…

I think the Radical line is too profitable/recognizable/popular to go the way of ins(ex)tinct. I think you're right with Fritz being the main endorser, could also leverage that to try and target the college player demographic.

Is he just seccuring a post-retirement contract? Ive heard Yonex does this (I mean, lifetime contracts, and theyre known to put the money up like this).
I mean, hes got not much to risk near the end of his career.

I'm extremely surprised Head are willing to let him go given everything, but Yonex may have made a considerable offer - it's likely to get them a lot of publicity for his final matches and then post career events/publicity etc... and they make great racquets so who knows

True. Quite a few pros seem to have retirement deals. Gonzo, for instance.

I believe Fritz has been the poster boy for the radical already.

Could’ve gotten the Percept 100 or 100D, not sure how the feel differs from the Ezone 100 but that route I’d go if I were him. Both provide easy power from the constant 23mm beam yet still have control, unless his route was going more towards modern

Maybe he wants to play higher paced tennis due to lack of endurance. If he's switching racket and needing to adapt, might as well adapt to a style that he thinks will win him more matches?

Just my theory / 2 cents, I have no evidence for this.
