Couldn't see a thread for this one.

Simon is a broken machine after his epic agains LeMonf. Murray hasn't dropped a set.

Should be a quick one.

Murray also has an injured shoulder but don't think it's bad enough to lose to Simone.

I don't know much about him, never watched him play. What's it about him? He seems so... passive.

He had a full two hours of intense treatment after beating Monf, and has an injured knee and forearm.

It's like watching a wounded dolphin being circled by a Scottish shark. Or something.

I need to watch less Attenborough.

To be honest, Murray is looking just as bad. This looks worse than the WTA to me. WTF, especially after yesterday's scorcher.

Murray playing equally bad as in his last match.
Federer will murder him on this form if he reaches the semis that is.

Murray often plays terrible Tennis against the non-top-4 players (and often wins) but always steps it up when it matters. He'll give Federer a fight and likely win, presuming Federer even gets there.

I think of Murray when I hear the word "pusher", I don't even know why. I mean he pushes but he is capable of scintillating winners too.

Simon is like a poor man's Murray then, because he has (or he chooses use) less firepower, and really content with getting the ball back and hit until the opponent commits an error.

See? Murray is playing economic tennis right now. He's won that set, and exactly how much effort did he put into it? He looked like he was playing a practice match.

My commentators can't even think of anything in that set to talk about. The highlight reel had two rallies in it.

Yeah, that was worse than WTA.

BG needs to stop repeating the fact that Giles Simon is not at full strength and it's tricky to play him.

Wake up BG, tired/injured or not, THIS IS how he plays, period.

That's because it wasn't worth it. Tired Simon is getting dismantled out there. Even if he wasn't tired he would still lose but the sets would've been more competitive, I guess.

I wouldn't worry too much. Remember how poor he looked vs Nishikori in last years quarters? He went on to play on of the best matches of his 2012 the very next round

Don't you think Simone has been more aggressive here? He's had to be and a better player for it.

Murray has now won 8 matches this year, won 20 sets, lost 1. And he hasn't played that well yet.

The difference, generally, between Murray and Djokovic and Federer is he doesn't like being in front and needs a challenge to play better.
Murray often plays worse the further ahead he gets whereas Djokovic and Federer are more ruthless and play even better.
I don't know if he gets bored or what it is but it can be infuriating.

Today's match was different because Simone was clearly struggling and it's difficult to raise your game against an injured opponent.
Murray played it right here.

Andy isn't getting to the final based on this form, that's for sure.
Every time he's got to a GS final, people have said the exact same thing during earlier matches he's played.

It's always taken Andy time to 'get going' over the two weeks of slams, often with so-so performances in earlier rounds. This is no different.
