Murray with Lendl hypothetical

If Andy Murray had Ivan Lendl coaching him his entire career or for a more lengthy part of his career, how different do you think Murray's career would look at this point?

Who knows. His influence didn't look that great tonight. Seemed like the same old Andy to me. I'd like to think he'd have at least won the Australian Open by now. Might have won a slam slightly earlier than he ended up doing so too.

Murray would be a diferent player, way better.
Implementation of new things ask for time, and it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

For example : After 8 months, Andy started to step into the court on 2nd serve return on regular basis, return with interest and materialize from that kind of aproach. 8 months !!!
When Lendl left, he started to get back (more and more), when he used to stand/be

I think for Plyer like Wawrinka it's safe to say, he couldn't have won his two Slam titles if there wasn't his current coach Norman around. The improvements he brought in his game were significant, he also fixed his mentality at least for biggest events. Crediting Norman hugely for his wins is fair but in case of Murray - Lendl it's not true cause the improvements were marginal and the guy who could make 10 Slam finals is bound to win one or two at least with or any without any super coach. Further if you watch highlights of the two Slam finals he won, you will get it had more to with how Djokovic played than Murray's own level. He would have won those matches with or without Lendl..

Unfortunately Lendl's coaching relation with Murray fell together with Djoker's period of chronic choking, so we'll never know if Lendl really deserves the credit for Murray's slam wins.

Maybe Lendl could have advised him to get dental work done, before it was too late.

Alas.

Well, I suspect Lendl is being employed for his coaching ability. I feel sure Andy is registered with a dentist should he ever happen to need one.

Does Marian Vajda deserve the credit for Murrays slam wins?

So you think it was entirely a coincidence that he won his only 2 Slams during his first period of coaching with Lendl?

But of course. Marian was on a retainer from Murray at the time but he called it quits when Andy refused to join him in the odd bottle of beer and dance on a car or two (but don't ever let Novak know this).;)

Yeah because I have Novaks number and can tell him everything a certain Mainad whispers on some random board that he probably does not even know exists.

Definitely a couple more slams. Mauresmo's Murray was a certified MUG, losing left and right to every top player, not just Djokovic. Only leading up to the French this year did he really start putting it right a little and then realised that he didn't need Mauresmo at all.

Tbh Mauresmo is the worst coaching decision i've ever seen a top player make in my life.

A dentistry joke, you are very quick witted Mainad.
