Muscle Imbalance from broken wrist

    I broke my wrist 6 weeks ago and today the doctor said I could do whatever now, like going to the gym. Now, my left arm muscles are significantly smaller than my right arm muscles, as I continued to use my right arm actively in sports and I had to carry my obese backpack in school.

    What should I do about this muscle imbalance.

    I've done that twice and the day to day progress is hard to see. Just start working it again, but use small weights, etc. to exercise it and don't expect it to be back on par with your other arm for a little while. Pay attention to it: it may ache a little from fatigue, but don't work it in a painful way that feels like something is breaking down.

    In about a month you'll probably realize that it's come a long way from when you got the cast off, but it might be a few months until you're not even aware of it having been broken a while back.
