I just rewrote the rules of Scrabble; quintuple word score.
This is much better than scrabble
Impressive, I must say!
Been here since the beginning of this thread, and this is best so far
(And I mean clever use of words, not the song)
All I want - Reef
(Went to school with the drummer)
All I Want--Joni Mitchell
T1000, sorry but the Judges will not The Beatles and Jon Bon Guido...I mean, Bon Guido in the same sentence.
Fixed your post. (j/k...sort of..er, not really-lol.)
All I Want Is You - Roxy Music
According To You by Orianthi
Those To Come - The Shins
Those magnificent men in their flying machines
Gotta a group or performer for this? Or is this the theme song for the movie of the same name?
oh wow! something about music SA does *not* know :-D The song popped into my head when i saw "those". It's gotta be the soundtrack/theme song of the movie.
(I hope soundtracks are permitted).
I am willing to submit "Those were the days" with a digital apology never to post a title track again. Not sure of original source but i had it in a Percy Faith and Orch LP.
What I don't know would fill a universe.
I recall 2 songs with the title "Those were the days". One was sung by Archie Bunker and dingbat during the opening credits of " the "All in the Family" sitcom. The other "Those were the days" was sung by Mary Hopkins. I believe that this was an adaptation of a Russian folk songs & was produced by The Beatles (McCartney?) for Apple Records.
Machines (Back to Humans) - Queen
Possibly their worst ever song?
^ Yo, jimbo! The last song was:
Those were the days (by Carroll O'Connor & Jean Stapleton)
Big Bright Green Pleasure Machine--Simon & Garfunkel
Do you nervously await the blows of cruel fate?
Do your checks bounce higher than a rubber ball?
Are you worried 'cause your girlfriends just e-lips-i-late?
Are you looking for a way to chuck it all?
Try the Big Bright Green Pleasure Machine!
Those Were the Days - Mary Hopkins
Near simultaneous post, there. I'd say pay your nickel and take your pick.
Not really. Upon closer inspection of posts #2073 and #2075, you'll see that jimbo derailed the thread. At that point he should have cued off:
Those Were the Days
Yep sorry, it was my fault
Well, sort of, but it did get confusing back there, in fact I'm going to blame Sentinel instead
These are the days of our lives - Queen
Dancing Days - Led Zeppelin (Houses of the Holy, 1973)
I feel bad about "Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines" getting the boot. It should be permanently embedded deep in the brain of everyone over
50 (or less, not looking to cause offence here.)
Queen of the new year-Deacon Blue
New Year's Eve - Pain of Salvation
Adam & Eve by Bob Marley
My pleasure !!!!
The Year of the Cat - Al Stewart
OOPS !!!! Please continue with Adam and Eve
Fair enough. Note that it wasn't that "Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines" got the boot. The thing is that, after my query, Sentinel followed it up with "Those Were the Days" so the thread should have followed from that. Anyway, onward...
Eveof Destruction - Barry McGuire
Sorry Tina, I just wanted to ask, are you actually a rabbit?
Hahaha! Can anyone enlighten this cuttlefish what that means
Enlighten me as well.
on-topic: (even if it is a systemic anomaly)
White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
Sorry again, I'm honestly not trying to mess up this thread, I really like it
Warmest Room - Billy Bragg
You yahoos done derailed Mr. Anomaly's thread again away from Eve of Destruction, but that was kind of hard...so
In My Room--The Beach Boys
I assume that this was meant to be an explanation of Tina's avatar and not a follow-up to Eve of Destruction.
Yeah, I don't get it at all. Are these yahoo just seeing words and not actually reading the posts? "Eve of Destruction" really isn't all that hard to follow (even w/o using the word, "of" as the only link). I'm putting the train back on the track with this:
Symphony of Destruction - Megadeth
An Alpine Symphony - Strauss
Aah, i never looked back at the ava. Thought it was some reference in the song title.
Separate names with a comma.
