Lifting Shadows Off a Dream - Dream Theater
Number Nine Dream...John Lennon!
John was obsessed with the number "9"...born on October 9, his son Sean shares that birthday, he wrote "One After 909" at his grandfather's home at 9 Newcastle Road (nine letters) in Liverpool (again nine letters. The Beatles first played the Cavern Club on February 9. Brian Epstein first saw the band perform on November 9. He was born on a Wednesday (nine letters) at 6:30am (adds up to nine). The Beatles debut in the US on the Ed Sullivan Show was on February 9. It goes on and on...Mark David (nine letters) Chapman murdered him late on December 8 but it was already December 9 in Liverpool. He met Yoko on November 9.
^^I'm pretty sure he was never a 49ers fan.

Just Another Tequila Sunrise...The Eagles!
For Stan's fugly kit!
Last Beatles concert was in SF...should have played the Cow Palace (nine letters) instead of Candlestick Park, which was shaken badly by the Loma Prieta (nine letters) earthquake that forced a 10-day delay of the 1989 World Series, eventually won by the Oakland Athletics (nine letters).
BTW, the Cow Palace was the venue for an infamous The Who concert, featuring a drugged Keith Moon (nine letters) receiving a "magic shot" under his covered drum kit stand mid-set. Moonie had trouble keeping up tempo with the rest of the band before his injection (Pete Townshend, "Play faster!") but erred to the other extreme after the good doctor's house call (P.T., "Play slower!).
This and more debauchery are chronicled in several biographies about Moon The Loon, the most personal being by roadie/chauffeur Dougal Butler (Full Moon...). The most in-depth bio was by Tony Fletcher, music journalist who has also done bios of R.E.M., The Smiths and a work about the music of The Clash. The Moon bio is called Dear Boy: The Life Of Keith Moon.
