I just found a video.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QmLjpZmL-0
You know Chang was up 4-1 and 40-0 in that first set and let it slip away. After that, Muster's body blows seem to catch up with Michael and it was downhill from there.
by the way, who else took a part in ATP match in age of 44? I remeber Borg tried, but not sure about year, when...
Bjorn Borg's last match on the tour was in November 1993, when he was 37. Pancho Gonzales' last match was in September 1973, at the age of 45. And let's not forget Ken Rosewall, who played his last match in October 1980, just days before his 46th birthday.
also Pancho Segura who was 53 when he played his last singles match at La Costa WCT
lavs, thanks for the link
Maybe Thomas is pretty old right now but, if he was able to overcome that awesome car accident, why not?
I don't know if it was his last pro match, but Bill Tilden lost in 5 sets first round of the 1946 U.S. Pro, also at age 53.
Being barely able at 48 to change directions on a court without injuring something, I am utterly astounded at what some of these players have done.
