Ok, so I did the Aussie, did pretty bad in predicting the French, so Im here for redemption.
Quarter 1:
[2] Roger Federer vs [12] Tomas Berdych
As we know Federer has the QF streak going. Falla, Robredo or jokes, and Melzer and Lopez simply dont have the game to beat Fed. Berdych makes the QF because he does well on the grass, and Davydenko hates it. Wawrinka could challenge Berdych, but Berdych is in form, Wawrinka playing a clay challenger doesnt look very good for his Wimby prep.
Quarter 2:
[15] Lleyton Hewitt vs [5] Andy Roddick
Lleyton over Djokovic was my toughest descision. Lleyton gets the nod for form, and the fact that he beat Federer. He has to be pumped. I know Novak is 2-0 on grass, but Hewitt really impressed my in Halle. Roddick should get through to set a repeat of last years epic QF. Cilic shouldnt go to far, and while Kohlshreiber could trouble Roddick, I could easily see him going out to Gabishvilli.
Quarter 3:
[8] Fernando Verdasco vs [4] Andy Murray
Verdasco and Tsonga will be the best R16 match. I have Verdasco getting through because Tsonga has yet to show results on grass. Verdasco has more variety. Murray has a good draw. Querrey could be potentially tough, but Murray historically owns those type of guys, and Ferrero may even take Querrey out.
Quarter 4:
[6] Robin Soderling vs [1] Rafael Nadal
Obviously the big match for the draw. Soderling is a solid grass courter and should get through with a fairly good draw. Bagghy has done well on grass, but I doubt if he has the consistency to take out Soderling. Rafa has a tough draw, in my mind similar to his 07 draw. Blake, Gulbis, Isner/Youzhny will not be easy. That being said hes won his last matches against all of these guys, and I cant see him losing this early at Wimby, where his FH is pure ownage.
Quarter Results:
Federer def. Berdych
Roddick def. Hewitt
Murray def. Verdasco
Nadal def. Soderling
Semis:
Roddick def. Federer
Nadal def. Murray
Finals:
