Actually the title is Latin and the text is Italian unless you are talking about the limited print run before the writer’s death. Guessing you never got past the front cover

Oh and thanks for telling me about Italian unification too.

“Although The Prince was written as if it were a traditional work in the mirrors for princes style, it was generally agreed as being especially innovative. This is partly because it was written in the vernacular Italian rather than Latin, a practice that had become increasingly popular since the publication of Dante's Divine Comedy and other works of Renaissance literature.[4][5]”

I know all that, Moron. Read what I wrote. More accurate language would be "the language that came to be known as 'Italian'".

if you have ever been to Italy you will know the dialects are quite varied even today, written Italian from Venice is really hard to get to grips with.
Anyway I read it it in the language that it was written in, not some poor translation into English. If you want to get into some concordance sampling of texts from the period to support your view of what Italian is let me know. Presumably you are basing your opinions on something more substantial than some undergrad course at a minor university.
So thanks for the “Nonsense” comment. Just saying.....

Anyway as Alberti would do, I am drawing a line under it. Far d’una mosca un elefante.

News update: Bill rescheduled his match with me from this Friday to the following Friday. I suspect that he saw the 15-20 mph forecasted this coming Friday and got scared thinking about playing me in windy conditions.

I will only be playing tennis once this week with SirShanksALot and I’ll be sure to film. Shanks has been having some excellent results against 4.0+ to 4.5 level players recently and continues to play tennis 7-10 times every week.

I will be rock climbing twice this week and I also get a very good workout while fishing. For example, I spent 8 hours today balancing on rocks and climbing from Boulder to Boulder some reaching over 10-15 feet tall as I traversed the river. I also jogged 1 mile each way with a 22.5 lb backpack at about a 9 min/mile pace to reach the initial fishing area.

You sound like my cousin. At age 21 dude, I’m going to be a multi millionaire by age 28.....I am awesome at everything I do. I am unstoppable. I’ve read every and been to every success seminar across the country. I’m so good looking, I could be a model. I’m traveling the world, meeting with the best of the best . Beautiful women want me, no one can ski better than me, I’m the best athlete at pretty much everything. I’m in Amway.....I’ll be a director in no time making millions, I’m also a realtor...I’ll only get big deals.
Ran into him last week. He’s now 60. Still a nobody......but is still swinging from the fences....still thinks he’s going to make the big time. Hey, I think I’m going to buy a big boat........goes on and on about it....I finally get away from him and see he has someone else cornered...bragging that he’s going to buy a plane........Later I see Mr. Successful get into his 7 year old Honda Civic and drive off. Ugh, he’s still exhausting.

OP has a massively successful main YouTube channel so seems a bit stupid to lump him in with random big talk do nothings. Yes he sounds like a 12 year old that watched too much Naruto, but hey it’s entertaining at least. Some posters here are delusional as well as boring so it’s not that bad.

Dang bruh, what's with the personal attacks?!?!?

7 of those claims your cousin made id say are applicable to me:giggle:

Woah woah woah, no matter how old you are you can never watch too much anime... And how am I delusional that I think I can reach a 6.0 level in 12 years time? Rios starting playing tennis at age 11 and turned pro 8 or 9 years later!

So most everyone is in agreement that the OP is at least 4.5???!

Not with that serve and FH. He would be a 4.0 based on movement at my club, in Canada.

Had SSAL seen video of himself hit? His forehand is really “arm-y”. He could improve the pace, spin and weight of the shot if he got more of his body into it.

Yes he studies all the videos of himself hitting. He is aware his forehand needs a lot of work and as of right now he much prefers to hit his 2HBH. He is also working to develop a reliable second serve, proper footwork patterns, and learn proper volley form right now.

As I mentioned when he started hitting again in July of 2020 or so he was about a 3.5+ and weighed 198 lbs. In his current form, I’d put him at an average 4.5 level singles level and weak 4.5 doubles level and he weighs 182 lbs at 5’ 9”

I just hit 2HBH’s with my topspin training tool for 10 minutes to prepare for my hitting session with SirShanksALot tomorrow.

The last time I hit a 2HBH was on February 27th. I had a revelation about unlocking “optimal technique” on the 2HBH about 6 min into my session.

I will be recording tomorrow, and I expect that my 2HBH might look very similar to Djokovic’s technique-wise. If this is indeed the case, Luis will never take another set off me again.

Nah you're a bit too obvious with this one mate

Too much... not even I will bite.

How is jujutsu kaisen? I heard some good stuff but haven't watched it yet.

Hands down my favorite anime I’ve watched, 100/10 def recommend! Everything about it is top notch, and their animation budget is through the roof, there’s many scenes that will put you in absolute awe!

Too much... not even I will bite.

I’m literally posting a video after I hit today lol... It’s not like I can lie when I provide proof for all my claims.

Just hit against the wall with my new forehand and backhand, will be using it against SirShanksALot later today. My forehand grip is now semi-western and I now hold the racquet near the bottom, my power potential has increased 2 fold. My 2HBH actually look a lot like Nadal's now that I think about it, I will no longer be vulnerable to attack at the baseline.

Can you show me this position in your "a lot like Nadal" BH?

Haha if you want the clicks mate you have to say it looks like Federer's. Doesn't matter that yours is a two hander, it doesn't make the statement any less accurate....

You need glasses??? For some reason I assumed you had exceptional vision.

@TennisProdigy You are not going to going to see massive improvement every day. You post a video, people here give you feedback/criticize and then you say I'll fix this and that and never lose a set to person X. That's not how progress works in tennis. It takes weeks at the least if not months to see any major changes to your game/strokes. If you really become a 6.0 player, that is pretty much ITF futures if not challenger level, based on your progress I don't think it's possible. 5.0 is possible but anything beyond that, I have serious doubts.
There are so many obvious flaws in your strokes that I'm surprised have not been pointed out. I'll point out one : your forehand takeback, racket drop is too inefficient to generate any power. You pause once you takeback the racket losing all the momentum that you generate to get there.
Your serve..my lord, it's bad. Don't say you are going 40% power, your mechanics are all wrong for me to believe even your 100% serves are any good.
You have a lot of work to do, take criticism as a way to improve your strokes, don't take it as an insult that you have to respond and defend your position.

I appreciate the constructive criticism, much of it I agree with. I just finished hitting with SirShanksALot, and I already made some massive improvements on my forehand specifically.

but most importantly, thanks to some advice from a very special poster on here that @J011yroger introduced me to, I have decided to embrace my own style.

from this point forward, I am abandoning a traditional serve and hitting only underhand serves.

I have perfected the technique after 15 minutes of practice and I used it today to destroy SirShanksALot in match play, vid will be posted Soon!

Stop making so much sense, reality not welcome on this thread.

I don’t see the big deal about underhanded serves... There’s plenty of NBA players who shot free throws underhanded.

Either way, vid will be up within 27 min.

Because it’s actually more accurate and the only thing that matters about shooting foul shots is your free throw percentage

Can an underhand serve possibly be comparable in speed and spin to an overhand serve at the 6.0 level?

I guess we’ll see on the next episode of our favorite anime: Tennis Prodigy’s Delusional Pursuit of Forum Greatness (Or How I Overcame my Mental Illness and Embraced 4.0 GOAThood)

Your forehand does look much better tbh

even if it doesn’t “look” much better you should clearly be able to see its higher level of effectiveness. It’s less attackable, just as consistent, and even produces some winners now.

don’t forget that we’re playing in 20-30 mph winds too (y)

I said does lol

FH looks solid, but it's still past SW grip, quite extreme. Still works well for Djokovic, Wawrinka, Cilic, etc. Falling back on all shots, even short ones, is not good.
You haven't hit a single BH in tiebreaker, have you? Earlier in the vid - no extension, flopped inside too early, T-Rex arms. You were going to hit it like Nadal, no?

Strokes look good! I have much more faith in your 2h bh. Your forehand serve does demonstrate you should have really a decent serve in theory, you can generate pace and spin from a dead ball, and could do so with even much more pace and accuracy if you learnt to do it properly with a contact point 3 feet higher as a proper service motion gives you.

due to the high winds, I was unable to get my true 2HBH technique to shine through unfortunately.

I was playing to win in theTB, so I tested my movement and tried to hit as many forehands as possible

Forget about playing to win. Play with the intention of focusing on specific things. If you are trying to improve your BH, you should actually try to hit more BHs even in the TB.
