My new serve in match play with bonus eastern forehand pass

I quite like the serve, but who cares? Look at that crosscourt slice!!!!!!!

Crazy shot, love it, nobody in their right mind would go for that at that point, and yet you pulled it off..

ps, and who is the young lady in the white skirt, hmmn?? :)

Thanks for the comments! I am clearly not in my right mind. That was also a break point. This style of play often works to my detriment, but it can be thrilling to execute.

Shot of the week! Just loved it mate, it looked very routinely like you make a few of those every match.

I know, you find yourself thinking 'WTF???', don't you?

The approach let the OP go down the line if he wanted or even just a topspin CC, but that thing he actually did is brilliant!

A cc squash shot/slice winner, Mr.Fed and Mr.Murray would be proud. I like the platform serve as well, I do the same.

Nice passing shot man! You almost pulled a Serena (yelling come on before the ball landed/the opponent had a chance to get it) :)

Thats what we call a low percentage shot

OP you lazy bum, get over there and hit the topspin pass.

that shot is reserved for when you are REALLY stretched out wide.

There's something in the motion of your serve that looks a little off, especially on the finish.

The way you kick up your legs, it just looks like you're losing a little bit of power there.

What's your second serve look like?

where does it say 'Philly'? that's my backyard.

Jagr?

Willroc7`s location says Philly.

You are from Philly to?

Yes, the one and only #68!

I adored him like crazy back in the days, still do.

First vid was an amazing shot ...

This one was just you executing a poor drop shot which your opponent handled poorly since he was there in plenty of time to hit a little topspin angle winner.

You do look like you have a pretty decent game tho. :)
This is true. I made terrible tactical decisions in this match.

Extremely lazy feet. If you're going to pick out points you won to put on video, at least pick the ones where you aren't braincramping.

Strange, I just see to very lazy guys who hit pretty well, but don't want to put in any effort to get good, which they CAN, if they would put in some effort.
I'm 62, and I look like a caffeine addicted RoadRunner compared to both of those guys.
But in reality, I"m as slow as I'm annoying.

Are you really that slow?.....

Of course, I said so.....
Hobbling around on one leg, the front leg, is not the formula for retrieval tennis or pushing.
You might have legs right next to each other, but for tennis, I have a back leg and a front leg on serves, volleys, and 1hbh's.

What exactly about my footwork, other than not split-stepping after the serve, is lazy? Particularly in the second point I posted I feel like it is pretty decent. I actively recover to the middle of the court after each shot. At 0:14 I run around to hit a forehand where I land in the doubles alley. How is that lazy? What can I specifically do to improve my footwork?

I picked the first point because I hit two good, representative serves for my new platform motion. And even though I braincramped at the end of it, I still hit a pretty amazing shot. The second one I wasn't planning on posting but someone commented about me being out of my mind, which I agree with in this match, so I posted the second. I wasn't trying to make myself look good with it. It's both poor shot selection and poor execution.
