My Observations and Conversations at an ATP 250

This is the thread where I will post photos and info that I can obtain from multiple sources at the Delray Beach ATP 250.

- Moya isn't using a PD. Its a 2009 PS. Pics to be added later.

- Talked to Kevin Anderson about gear and whatnot, he confirmed using a PJ. He said he was using an older Prestige that he switched to when he turned pro, and said he switched from "The Blue Babolat". And he is using Alu Rough.

- Talked to Isner after a practice session (I sat next to him on the bench!) and he said he is using Technifibre Red Code 16G at 61-62 lbs for this tournament, he said that was a couple pounds higher than normal for him.

- Dolgopolov's Wilson says its a 95, but I could've sworn it was a 90. And I wasn't the only one who thought that. Pics to come later...

- JMac had on lime green (Volt) Vapors. I asked for them... He said he needed them. I asked if he had any extra frames... He said he needed those too. lol. Pics to come...

-Ryan Harrison destroyed his PS Tour in practice. I didn't get it  but
I got to "inspect" it :). He had 3-4 layers of lead tape distributed from 10 to 2 under the grommets and a special Babolat code in the throat that I took a cell phone picture of.

There is a whole week left of this tournament, so look at the draw and make requests.

Harrison breaks alot of racquets in practice... and a bunch of wasted money....
Can he lose his sponsorship over this?

Ha, they asked me about my gear too, which I had with me.

One other thing, I have a little bit of info on Donald Youngs frame... It is a Solinco... And he has a Solinco bag. Pic of that too.

I'm going to keep an eye out for Haas and his mix matched outfits and ancient Dunlops.

Haas is using the HEAD Pro Tour 630 (PT57A).

Dolgopolov is using the Wilson Pro Staff 6.0 95.

If you manage to get a hold of Sam Querrey's, Tommy Haas', or Ryan Harrison's rackets, I'd sure love to take it off your hands ;)

Have fun this week!

Awesome! Can't wait, one of my friends trains with DY from time to time, and he said that he seems pretty happy with his solinco. I heard that his racket should release later this year along with a new line of solinco rackets.

I think a fellow TT also strings for the tournament too!

Pictures should be up sometime around 3:45 ET. I uploaded some (50 out of 1603 pictures I've taken in 3 days) from the camera to the computer... But I had to go to school and tapatalk isn't ideal for uploading photos.

Um....That's not Moya!
So that guy just so happened to be wearing the same shirt as Moya when Moya came out to play the match with a PD?

Edit: I think you are right... But I was a ball boy for Moya and I was 5 ft from his frame and I could obviously see that the frame wasn't the right shape for a PD and it was the exact shape of a PS.

Apparently there is a "surprise" at 5:15 at the tournament... I'm headed out to the tournament right now with a camera...

Last year in Knokke (Belgium) Moya was still using his old trusty Soft Drive (paintjob of Pure Drive GT) strung with RPM...
