My picky feet

moist

Rookie
I'm currently wearing barricade 2's, and I keep on experiencing lateral knee pain on both knees. I've seen a doctor, and he suggested my shoes don't fit properly(duh). I'm a big overpronator with a narrow forefoot. Regular running shoes fit me fine, but for some reason I always seem to have too much toe box room in tennis shoes. The BII's were the best fit I've found, but still slighty roomy up front. I wear orthotics for running, but they're brutal on my feet if I wear them for tennis(too hard, make the shoe fit weird, blisters, etc). Pain reducing and comfort are far more important than durability for me right now. Any suggestions?

i know the vapor speeds are narrower in the front and so are the breathe free 2...maybe you should try those...i also experienced knee pain on the front of both of them when i was wearing casual shoes to work that were too big..guess my foot was moving around too much all the time when i walked...maybe your problem is just the toebox being too big after all :-\

I wouldn't say the breathe free 2's have a narrow toe box. I have 2e feet and they fit like a glove. I agree that the vapor speeds are narrow. I hear the lotto shoes run narrow.

Aftermarket insoles

I have found aftermaket insoles to make my BIIs a lot more comfortable. The inserts that come with tennis shoes are all worthless IMO. I have had good success with Sorbothane Ultra Soles. There are several other brands. For me it was worth a few bucks to experiment.
