My Racquet History -- What's yours?

I've probably lost a few brain cells along the way, but here is what I remember:

79 Spalding Sears special
80 Maxply Fort woodie, Donnay Borg
81 Wilson T2000
82 Yamaha fiberglass
83 Head Graphite Pro
84 Max200G
...
00 Head Ti.S2 very briefly.
00 Head Ti.Fire Tour (pro?)
01 Babolat Pure Control Original
02 Babolat Pure Control newer version
05 ProKennex Redondo also very briefly
06 Wilson Ncode 90 tour
06 Wilson Ncode 95 16x20
07 Tecnifibre T-Fight 335 16x20 (x3)

1969 Sears Mohawk
1970 Regent Steel
1971 Wilson T 2000
1972 Dunlop Maxply
1973Tad Davis
1974 Wilson Stan Smith
1975/78 Spalding Davis Cup
1979 Dunlop Maxply
1981 Maxply McEnroe
1984/88 Dunlop 200G
1990/2000 Prince( did not play much)
2007/2008 Wilson K-90 Asian version

1988? Some kinda Prince aluminum racquet
1990 Prince Graphite Midplus
1993-2000 Went off to college and work (didnt play at all)
2001 Prince Triple Threat Graphite Mid Plus
2005 Head iRadical Oversize
2007 Wilson n5 Force Oversize (Mistake getting this one)

1. Some Head junior racquet
2. Ti.Heat
3. I.Radical MP
4. LM Radical MP
5. Hyper Hammer 5.2
6. Pro Staff Tour 90

High School -
9th: Wilson HPS 5.0 MP
10th: Wilson HPS 6.1 95
11th: Wilson HPS 6.1 95
12th: Wilson nCode 6.1 95

College -
Freshman - didn't play
used the Prince Tour Diablo during the summer between F. and So. year
Sophomore - Head FXP Prestige mid
Junior - Wilson kFactor Tour 90

I just bought a kBlade Tour to play test this summer (maybe even take to some tournaments) but more likely than not I'll stick with the Tour 90 next year. Also, if it does actually come out, I'll definitely play test the racquet Sampras is supposedly helping design.

BTW, those are the racquets I've actually competed with. I've demoed the Yonex RDS 001 mid, PS 6.0 85 SV (just for fun - I kept this one), ProKennex Redondo mid, and probably a couple more I can't recall right now. I've basically hit with all the "hyped" racquets, but so far the kFactor 90s are it for me.

1970s (junior high and high school)
1. A $5 pre-strung supermarket racket painted to look like a Dunlop Maxply (standard size, wood)
2. Spalding Match Play, about $15, beautiful cosmetics but a pre-strung drugstore purchase and heavy as hell (standard size, wood)
3. Bancroft Borg Personal: My first real racket (standard size, wood)
4. Donnay Fiberwood: Like Borg's Donnay but with a ply of fiberglass, and red-purple stripes instead of yellow-orange (standard size, wood with fiberglass)
5. Donnay Allwood: Like Borg, I used this off and on with the Bancroft (standard size, wood)
6. Garcia Pro 240: The official racket of Harold Solomon (standard size, wood)

1980s (college and beyond)
7. Rossignol Strato: I believe it was the same racket as the Garcia -- used by Solomon and Jose-Luis Clerc (standard size, wood)
8. Dunlop Maxply (standard size, wood)
9. Donnay Fibre Pro: An update of the Fiberwood (standard size, wood with fiberglass)
10. Prince Woodie: My first oversize racket (oversize, wood with graphite)
11. Yamaha YFG-45: A midsize of sorts (narrow but long head) and my first composite racket (midsize, composite)
12. Yamaha Ceramic Bronze 90 (midsize, composite)

1990s
13. Spalding Ellyp-Tech (oversize, composite)
14. Wilson Hammer 4.0: My first wide-body (midsize, composite)
15. Yonex Super RQ 500 Long: My first extra-long (midsize-plus, long, composite)

2000s
16. Yonex Super RQ 1000 Long: The Monica Seles racket -- I stopped using it only because I couldn't find any more (super-oversize, long, composite)
17. Head Liquidmetal 2: This was a short, unhappy experiment that ended with tennis elbow (midsize, long, composite)
18. Prince O3 (oversize, long, composite)
19. Prince Air Vanquish OS: I was on vacation without my rackets and had to borrow one when I hired a pro for a hit. I didn't like the graphics at first, but I sure did hit well. A few weeks later it dawned on me that this frame was much better for me than the O3, and it sure was cheaper. It got even cheaper when it was discontinued, and so I stocked up. I hope seven is enough, because I never want to switch. The weight and balance are perfect for my spin-heavy game. The graphics have even grown on me. (oversize, composite)

My first racquet was a wilson that i bought in september of 2007 when i knew nothing about tennis, and i thought every racquet plays the same and didnt even know there was more than one type of strings. Well, i started playing in an academy with a coach, but i played so bad i got frustated and trhow the racquet on the floor so hard that i broke it. at that moment i set the goal to myself of learning everything about tennis, so i started researching about racquets, strings, grips, etc. after a month of research i find the racquet i want to buy, a LM prestige MP. i have it since february and in january im going to buy a microgel prestige mp.

Orange ProKennex aluminum junior racket – The ultimate moon ball machine
Prince Graphite Junior – When I started putting a little less arc on the moon ball
Prince Graphite Oversize – A true classic
Prince More control 800 DB – my first midplus racket. Felt so good.
Prince Speedport Tour – Got two once my More Controls were pretty much dead
Prince Ozone Tour – One of my Speedports got stolen, so a friend gave me one of his. I liked it more than the Speedport so I switched and used the Speedport as a backup. Only used it for about 4 months
Wilson K6-1 95 – Perfection in a racket.

1. Prince Power Pro 110

In 1986, I started playing-- lessons - the whole daddy-force thing- I had some Pro Kennex racquets-- can't remember the name of them-- was 7years old.

Switched to some Wilsons around 1989, still can't recall the name of those either, 10 years old at this point. Did not like that I was being forced into something, the pressure to perform and compete in tournaments got to be too much and I was losing every match and not enjoying myself. Quit practicing, playing and coach in 1992, at the age of 13, joined a soccer team and played lacrosse in high school and college.

Now at the age of 30, I recently picked-up tennis again (5years ago) and occassionaly competed in local tournaments, but mostly recreational.

Started back-up with the LMRadMid+ and in 5years have gone through some frames.
2004- 2 LMRadMid+ (one broke, one still in possesion and customized)
2006- n95 (sold)
2007- 2 KSurges customized (sold/traded)-- 2 Yonex RDS 001 Mid (both sold and traded) -- MicroGel Extreme Pro (sold)
2008- Prince Ozone Pro Tour (still own 1)-- 2 K90's (sold)-- 2 Kblade98 (customized and sold)-- 1 MGPresMid (still have)
2009- 1 KPS88 (still own)-- 2 more MGPresMids (still own and customized all 3)

Have demo'd many many frames on-top of all this... I only have 6 at the moment.. 3 MGPresMids-- 1 KPS88-- 1Prince Ozone Pro Tour-- 1LMRadMid+
