bringing this post back to life! My history is as follows

Some cheap Wilson (first ever) → LM Radical MP → Microgel Extreme MP → Prince Speedport Black (customized) → Tecnifibre 320 V02 → Fischer Mpro 95 (fun to take out of the bag every once in a while) and Dunlop 4D 300 Tour (customized and also my current main)

Been playing tennis for just over one year:

1) Prince Thunder Blast 107
2) Volkl PB8-315
3) Head Microgel Prestige MP
4) Head i.prestige MP / Head Ncode 6.1 95
5) Vantage 95 (Strung: 11.8, 67ra, 16x19, 8 HL, 27", leather grip)

My tennis drama

I'm fifteen and have had way too many rackets:

1)Wilson ncode n4
-stolen after a couple months
2)Wilson ncode n6?
-the skunk
-my coaches old racket
-misshit serve (cracked it)
3)Wilson Hyper Hamer
-didn't like it
-happy accident with a net pole followed by a mishit forehand
4)Prince exo hybird 104
-didn't like it (way to much power, i didn't know how to read specs then)
-had it for about half a year before retirement
5)Two Solinco Pro 10 's :)
-players pleener
-My "friend" "strung" one and now its "on-its-way-back" to me (aka stolen)
-string broke on the other one & no money for strings
-my to be main racket
6)Spalding Woody
-given to me by a freindly guy at the park
-string broke on that too (three weeks), and money tied up for stringing machine
7)Old yonex steel frame "The Fun Stick"
-another coaches old racket "he thought it'd be funny to see me play with a sub 60 inch head
-string broke on that one too
8)Presteige pro midplus (micro gel)
-my friend's
9)Solinco Pro 10
-got a stringing machine
I actually only own 3 rackets now.
*) ncode ntour 2
-my dads used when my strings broke and the two week period that it took to get my racket to sport chalet and back (which happened like every three weeks)

My first racquet was a hand me down and I saved my lunch money to buy the Elektra.

1986 Wilson T-2000 with a broken string
1988 Wilson piece of junk
1990 Head Elektra Pro ( I miss this one)
1994 Pro Kennex Ceramic Destiny
1999 Wilson Pro Staff 6.7 EB
2002 Head Ti S4
2007 Wilson Hyper Hammer
2010 Dunlop Aerogel 300
2011 Dunlop 4d 200 Tour / Donnay X Black
2012 Prince EXO3 Graphite

This is an old but interesting thread.

My 1st racquet I found at the tennis court. Someone had left it. It was a Christ Evert stick that said "Miss Chris" on it. lol
2. Wilson T-2000
3. Donnay Borg Pro
4. Wilson Extra (oversized)
5. Yonex R7
6. Prince Pro
7. Prince graphite
Got shot in the face and lost vision in my left eye in 1988 which affected my depth perception to such a degree I was unable to play at a high level anymore so I quit in frustration. I am trying to get back into the game now slowly. Its not going well as I just completely miss the ball at times and other times I hit well. I think I may try buying a ball machine so I can just work on learning to see the ball again. It might not work but Im going to try once more.

My first racquet was one of my dad’s PS85s, I started playing in 1997 when I was 5 years old. I kept using my dad’s pro staffs for quite a bit until:

2002: Hyper Pro Staff 6.0
2003: Hyper Carbon Pro Staff Tour 90
2005: N 6.1 Tour 90
2007: K factor 6.1 Tour 90

Lol, don't mind continuing the restart of an old thread...

2008: Wilson K factor six.one team
2012: Wilson Juice 100
2013: Wilson Juice Pro
2014: Wilson six.one 95 (had a BLX and an Amplifeel)
2015: Wilson RF97A (Started with Red/Black, then went to all Black)
2018: Yonex Duel G 97 330

Note: These are only racquets that I have declared as my main/go-to racquet. I've had others and used them for short periods of time or enjoy hitting with them occasionally still, but these have been my main racquets. Other racquets I've used more than just for a hit or two include Wilson K Blade, Head Graphene XT Prestige Pro, Snauwaert Grinta 98, Prince Phantom 93P.

Started playing about 3 and a half years ago...just turned 30. Wish I started as a kid! Have tried a bunch but these are what I primarily hit with.

- Babolat Pure Aero 16x19
- Babolat Pure Strike 16x19
- Wilson RF97
- Head Speed Pro 18x20
- Head Pro Tour 630/280 18x20 (FAVORITE)
- Angell TC97 V3 18x20 (really enjoying this right now)

Pro Kennex kiddie 23 racket 90s
Wilson Hammer 26 midplus 02-04 (age 10-12)
Head TiS2 04-present
Prince Triple Threat Attitude OS (this thing is from about 2004 but I just picked it up)
Gamma Accura 28 OS (circa 1995 just fun to mess around with this one)

First post finally :)
I am short so I play mostly with 28 inches frames

1987-1989 Garcia wood/graphite
1990-1995 Fin Scorpion / Scorpion II - very nice graphite racquets, 18x21
1995-1996 Dunlop Revelation Pro 28"
1997-2000 Prestige Classic/XL 28" PT10
2001-2004 iPrestige mid XL/ LM Prestige mid 28" - same frame
2005-2007 FXP Radical Tour XL (PT151) 28" - best racquet i have ever hit with
2008-2011 MG Radical XL (TGK 231.2) 28"
2011- Topspin X95 28" - Prestige clone
2012-2016 Prestige MP XL (TGT 293.2) 28"
2017 Prince Graphite Longbody 28"
2018 - retail Head Tour Xtralong 28"

And some other frames worth mentioning:
Yonex Pro RD 70 Long - I played for few weeks with them and won a tournament, very good for spin and power but string was breaking very fast. I broke 3 new string during one match on clay. I went back to Prestige.
PT57A XL 28" - I tested this frame in the same time with PT151, good but not that powerful as the Radical and the paintjob was ugly.
Retail Head Pure Competition XL 28" - very low power.
Retail Head Radical Tour XL OS - good overall except on the serve.
Retail Babolat PD+ Roddick customised to 28"- very bad quality, two frames broke during play.
And some funny frames i bought recently for fun:
Head Graphite Radial 22x23 - plays like a board which is a good thing, but the sweetspot feels low, close to the throat of the racquet, needs extension to 28" to play good.
Head Graphite Director - made in USA, 20x21. I have only hit few volleys with it, very solid feel, might become my main racquet after handle extension.

25 year layoff

Wilson Tour

Played with frames from Head, Wilson and Donnay during my youth (from 7 to 20).

Also a 25 year layoff. Picked this nice and addictive sport up again about 5 years ago.

2014 - Babolat Pure Storm Ltd GT
2017 - Babolat Pure Strike 18 x 20 2014
2017 - Babolat Pure Strike 18 x 20 2017
2019 - Experimenting with XL frames, initially with a Babolat PDT+ for about 3 months and then:
2019 - Custom extended (to 27,25 inch) TF 40 315, Babolat Pure Storm Ltd GT Plus, Dunlop CX200+, all three still in the bag
2020 - Several 27,5" frames will follow, Dunlop CX200+ is favorite at the moment. Tried a PA+ 2019 last weeks out of curiousity, not my cup of tea anymore.

Edit: After I read the racquet history of @TheIntrovert I do remember now that I also had a 5 or 6 months trial in 2017 with two RF97A's, both way out of spec, and too heavy static weight for me to swing a full match.

2006 ish: Wilson prostaff tour 95, then a hyper pro staff 6.1
2006-12: various pro staff 6.1s-hyper, ncode, classic, k factor and also a 6.0 classic. Kblade, k 6.1 team, hyper pro staff 6.5, (k)obra (weird stick), and Babolat pure storm gt for a minute or so each but always back to the 6.1 or 6.0.
2013: Wilson blx pro open

From 2014 to recently I’ve had a bit of a break, but now that I’m playing more I’m mainly using a pair of i.radical OS, though I still have the 6.0 and the pro open. I’ll have to step my game up to get back to 6.1 level.

I like your phrasing re: I.prestige. 15 years ago I had my best “tennis summer” ever with the I.radical and after picking up a new (old) pair of them recently have fallen back in love with them. The Intelligence series was really great.

I like this post idea!

Though I've owned over the years (and still have) many different racquets, I consider the following ones KEY to my journey:

1. Prince J/R Comp Series 110
2. Prince Graphite Volley Series 110 (max tension 80LBS!)
3. Wilson Sting High Beam Series 110
4. Dunlop Revelation 95 (max tension 65LBS; incredible shock absorption)
5. Yonex VCore Pro 97D (max tension 60LBS; incredible stability)

My most recently acquired stick is the Prince Phantom 100P.
I was hoping it would be easier on my arm than the Yonex VCore Pro 97D, and though it is lighter and more flexible, I have to give the "comfort" award out of the two to the 97D. Nothing, however, that I've ever owned has provided greater arm "comfort" for me than the Dunlop Revelation 95 (with ISIS technology). When I was playing at the top of my game in high school, I used to have mine strung up at around 67LBS, and used to break strings all the time, but it was all I could do to keep the ball in. Tennis tech seems to have advanced in so many areas over the years, but yet no manufacturer (including Dunlop) seems to be able to provide the same level of shock isolation as the Revelation does. The downside was that the graphite rods inside the handles could break under heavy use. But man, they did their job well!

Some of the other racquets I've owned and tried, but for personal use ultimately gave up on:
Head Graphene XT Prestige Pro (2016 version)
Head Graphene 360+ Gravity Pro (2019 version)
Dunlop FX 500 Tour

Mention-worthy is the Dunlop CX 200 Tour 18x20 (2nd Generation) - I've never played with a stick that has such laser targeting precision. However, for my game, it lacked the stability I crave (even after adding 4 grams to the hoop at 10AM and 2PM respectively) and just that little "pop" for blocking back volleys over the net without swinging. Later, I was tempted to buy a Prince Phantom 93P, which the man that sold me the CX 200 Tour said he had switched to after trying something like 25 racquets. However, I eventually decided on the Prince Phantom 100P, which is lighter, less headlight, and has a higher twist weight than the 93P. It's good for recreational play, and coaching, but when I need ultra-stability and control (such as against a big hitter), the Yonex VCore 97D is still my weapon of choice.

What is cool is that if you play for long enough, and try out enough racquets, and are in tune with your own playing style and needs, you can come pretty close these days to finding the "perfect tennis racquet" for your own playing style.
