My search for the perfect racket,,

Well, time to sum it up.

I have been working in the tennis industry for a long time, both as coach and also in different shops in sweden and australia. I have always been searching for the perfect racket and i think it´s time to sum up 10 years of search;

1995, Started to use the Head Pro tour 630 CAP. Was very happy with it but decided to change 1997 to Head Premier Tour. Used it about 6 month before switching back to the Pro Tour again. Then in May 1998, A new racket brand was launched, I started to use Babolat Pure Drive when it was launched in sweden. Used the pure drive until July 1999 when i changed to Yonex SRQ 700 long ( the M Hingis racket ). Used it for 5 months before i bought the Yonex RD 7 Power. Used it for 2 month only and the moved on to yonex RD Ti 70 but never liked the yonex feel and broke the contract with Yonex and started to use the new Head Ti Fire Pro Edt. This was only due to the fact that my hero, Franco Squillari used it.,,

Played with the Ti Fire until november 2001 when i was down under in Melbourne and got the hand on 3 new i.Prestige MP. Fantastic racket. Won my first singles tournie with that racket.

Played really well with the i.prestige but still decided to change to Prince more control in 2002. That was a shocker and i again bought Babolat Pure Drive, but in XL version. Used it for a week before i cut of the xtra inch. Then i recieved a contract with Babolat and decided to use the Pure Control, but never reaööy liked it and sold them and got 4 new Pure Drive instead.,,

Played with the Pure drive until 2005 when i felt that more control should be needed and i bought the Head i.radical MP. Used it 2 month and then moved on and bought the Dunlop m-fil 300. 2 weeks after first hit they were sold. Then i ordered the Fischer m-speed pro no 1 and the normal 320 gram pro no 1 and used them 3 month, and now when the honeymoon is over i don´t like them either.

So, i went home to my parents house, and picked up my old and trusted Head Pro tour and had a hit, and man what a pleasent racket that is. So solid and full with control,, And i was lucky, i found 3 used in good shape very cheap at 100 euros at e - b a y and i am now waiting for them to arrive.

So after 10 years and many many rackets, I am back at square 1 again.,, Da-n i could have saved so much money.

Bottom line ( if anyone have taken the time to read this to the bottom.. ).,, Take good time when testing a new racket. Most of the new rackets feel good first and that is mainly because it is someting new and then you play much on motivation.
