Nadal and Federer and Grand Slam Droughts

Anyone else notice that 11 Grand Slams have taken place since Nadal last won a Grand Slam other than the French Open.

There were 9 Grand Slams that took place between Federer winning two different Grand Slams (2010 Australian Open to 2012 Wimbledon)

Rafa has never had a slam drought. He's had 9 consecutive seasons with a slam title to his name. That's one area in which he's outperformed Fed.

Oh look, Mcenroeisanarrtist is posting yet another Nadal bashing thread. Certainly never seen this troll do that before.

Do you understand that bashing one does not equal trolling? Learn the definitions before using them, eh?

No, he trolls by making useless threads like this over and over again. Funny how he was nowhere to be seen an no useless troll threads from him popped up until Nadal lost yesterday. I guess you think that's a just a coincidence though, huh?

To be fair, he is a bit of a Nadal basher. I mean unnecessarily so. He tries to diminish Nadal's accomplishment by saying things like "if Federer does x accomplishment does that mean that Nadal's y accomplishment is lessened? He's got a bad habit of trying to make Federer look overly good while trying to make Nadal look overly bad.

This. Often, it seems that Nadal's greatest accomplishments are overshadowed by Federer in some way which makes me forget how great Nadal's achievements actually are. Take for example: Nadal's 81 match clay court winning streak. Of course, this is beyond amazing, but then I am like, yeah, but Federer has the all time consecutive match win record on Hard Court and Grass Court so then I only see Federer's accomplishment as being otherwordly while minimizing awesome Nadal's achievement.

Well sure, but I am saying that IMO it is wrong to think that way, and gives many people the idea that you are a Nadal basher, which to this point seems like it's correct, no offense, but that's the way I see it.

yes he did. between 2010 AO and 2010 RG. that's why his 9 in a row isn't that impressive, because he did not have a slam to his name for all 9 years. Federer and sampras did. sampras's is the most impressive, he had a slam to his name between 1993 wimbledon and 2001 wimbledon.
