Both have as many trolls as groupies. Despite what their haters say the ao has been a massive success for both. Both have gone beyond their seeding and afte so long out for both they must be delighted. Given its both players worse slam it does look likely that both will win their pet majors as only djokovic in ultron mode can really have a prayer of beating either if they are even 70pct of their best at their let majors. Djokovic though has been in decline since indian wells last year and has lost that aura now so unless thiem can stop nadal at french open (he has the game on clay) and zverev at wimbledon can stop federer ( he has the game) then it could be normal service resumed.
One thing is for sure. The momebt djokovic went out it did seem nadal and federer seemed alot younger! They just seem more relaxed. We all say how much nadal and federer hurt djokovic and worried him and made him angry but so too did djokovic unsettle nadal and federer. Djokovic going out early has actually reminded me what a legend he is. Nadal and federer the two greatest of all time. Most people acknowledge that. But if so, djokovic without doubt the 3rd greatest. He took it to fedal and unsettled both.
With djokovic way off and he is five levels below ultron mode, nadal and federer may have that confidence to get back to how it always was ...federer at no1 and nadal at 2.
Both maybe old but djokovic apart is there really any player who can beat either when both up to speed and match fit.? Both are way off match fit yet already in a qf in a major which isnteven their pet slam?
