Another cool thread ladies and gentlemen from Greg Sharkos wife, just kidding, great stuff! And as we all see Federer is the better player! (vs the field, i know what their h2h looks like, thank you (Nad-****s)

Wow, 6 percentage points is a HUGE difference. Also you have to realize that Federer from late 2003 to 2004 FO won like 94% of all his matches as well.

not to start a hate war, but that is one thing that Fed has over Nadal, while he may not do great against Nadal, his record vs. the field is so far superior to nadals. Must i bring up the 117-0 record against people outside the top 5 in slams?

That's sort of redundant stat, 21 straight slam semis pretty much means he HAS to beat anybody out of the top 5 to get to a semi. Either way, awesome.

Why is everyone criticizing Nadal. That win % is higher than even the games top legends. 86 is amazing. Considering Sampras' average in his best years (93 - 2000) was like 82%. And if you take out Agasso from that, it really changes little

Federer finished 2006 at 92-5 overall win-loss, 2 of his wins were against Nadal, not 5.

im not saying anything against nadal im just stating facts. I wonder what will happen if he gets more slams than Sampras (if it happens) I bet all the sampras ****s will flock to Fed for guidance.

With his knees the way he is, he'll be lucky to get 8+ slams in my opinion, let alone 14+. But yeah, it will drive the Sampras fans crazy that their idol drops to third in the list.

Nadal would have been number one during most of Pete's prime. Since 2005 he has better winning % than Sampras is those years.

watch out what you say game sampras will be on your ass if he sees this:-?

I think it's also impossible to make statements like that, Pete's performances at the slams in 2005 were better than Nadal's overall. Nadal won a lot of minor tournaments that year, which boosted his winning percentage but not his ranking (since he went over his 5 countables).

It's a pointless thing to say, because unless someone can invent a time machine, we will never get to see Nadal playing in the 90's.

Nice stats.

That just goes to show that, over the last four years, Nadal and Federer have been on a different level to the rest of the field.

Federer and Nadal own the field so much.. the rest of the field must be pretty depressed because of the Fed/Nad-train..

Actually it's more like the Federer train, since Federer won his first GS in 2003 only 2 men have won a slam without defeating Federer.
