octobrina10 posted on the Nadal news thread that Rafa was spotted coming from the indoor practice facility and heading towards the main entrance of his academy, carrying rackets, on Tuesday around noon. That's nearly 2 full weeks before Paris Masters starts. If he's practicing 2 weeks in advance, there's a good chance he's planning to play right?

This will be only his 7th appearance in Paris-Bercy. In his previous 6 appearances he never failed to make at least the quarter-finals including 1 final (2007) and 2 semi-finals (2009,2013) so, presuming he is fit enough to play of course, I expect at least a quarter-final showing.

Actually, while Federer is said to have a dreadful draw, I think that even on present (poor but improving) form he can get through ailing Raonic or Tsonga. He could get to the semis IMO. He recently defeated Nishikori, for example. It's if he meets Nole in the semis that on present form (for both) he'll definitely come unstuck.
Nadal has a pretty awful draw. Note has nothing to worry about if he's still in good form. But I have a funny feeling that next year he won't be as good (a funny feeling known as wish fulfilment, possibly).

What I’m really hoping for is that by some miracle Rafa makes it to the final and Federer, after winning in Basel picks up his form and takes out Novak in a tough semi-final. Then Nadl takes out Fraud by targeting the serve and forehand and wins Bercy and is oh so close to YE#1!

He was one point away from beating Novak in Wimbledon, a fast surface as well.Rafa looking really good in the practice videos! I think a SF showing this week is a good possibility. If he gets there, he can definitely beat Zverev, but if Rafa gets into the final I don't see him beating Djokovic

Looks like we have a massive difference of opinion here! I think Rafa 2017 kits and 18AO/USO were vomit worthy, and 2010 being the peak for Rafa and the Nike Nadal lines. Superhero details and longer shorts = badass, not the crapola that Nike is churning out last couple years. (Will say, his 2018 line clay+RG+Toronto was great)
At least he didn't get dumped like Fedr.
