Nadal blacked out shoes at Rome?

Thoughts?
 
I guess it is the Tiger collab. The midsole/outsole threw me off a bit. That is def not his usual Rafa-cized Vapor Cage 4. I think that may just be the Tiger PJ on his weird hybrid Cage 3

I hope he actually uses the 4 like he did at the ATP Cup and those first rounds of the AO, interesting design instead of using the 3. And before anybody says it yes I know he uses pretty much the mold of the CB 4.3 but the thought of him using the 4 and the way it looked at ATP Cup was very cool.
 
Rafa has now not gone back to the LTD TW Cage 4s, but is now actually playing with blacked out Zoom Cage 3s.

Guess he is still not 100% comfortable with using the 4s.

Hopefully this is a good thing and helps him play better! VAMOS!!

Just came in here to post the same thing. They showed a close-up at the end of the second set and they really looked as close to stock ZC3's as anything Nadal has worn before.
 
His shoes. Are not blacked out. They show clearly his namevand white Nike swoosh. They have also ugly long tongues like they are football shoes. They remind me also of the tennis shoes Agassi wore. Too bad Wimbledon isnt organized this year because there he would have to wear predominate white, as it should be elsewhere too!

Not exactly. At Rome it was Vapor Cage 4 design. At RG it's Cage 3 design!
After of course there is special modifications for Rafa... But I'm just talking about the design and the name of the shoe. ;)
Actually, if you want to buy the Rafa shoe, you can only buy the Vapor Cage 4. Not the Cage 3 he is using at RG. :)

Which is why I stocked up on cage 3’s before they were discontinued

Well, the same thing happened when Nike changed his show from the Courtballistec line to the Lunarballistecs starting in 2014... He tried playing with them but ended up playing with modified/p.e versions of the Courtballistecs for almost the entirety of the year. He only started using the LB's when he began playing on tour again post US Open (Beijing was one of the tournaments).
