Nadal cheating against Almagro

I watched his match yesterday against Almagro. At 4-4 in the second set he had two break points. Almagro hits a forehand on the baseline and linesman called it out. Nadal points at a different mark behind the line and the umpire also confirms the ball was out. Almagro was beyond pissed.

Nadal always pointed out the right ball mark back in his prime. It was the reason I had respect for him. Now I lost my last bit of respect for Rafa. It's sad what he's become.

Yea right, as if Almagro is the Saint here, i like his game but he can be very cocky at times...

so sadly true :(
he became an embarrassment of himself, stealing points which is the opposite of what made him popular.
rec player behavior.

Are you stupid or something? Linesman called it out, Nadal checked it and called the umpire to make a decision because it was close and the umpire ruled it out too. How is that cheating?

or is this some kind of sarcasm that I'm not getting?

He called the linesman because he claimed it was out, so my guess is you are either stupid or blinded because of fanboyism. I'm going for the latter since I don't accuse people I don't know of being stupid.
Fanboyism must also be the reason people here claim the ball was clearly out. I mean seriously, the ball was so clearly on the line it's not even funny. I didn't even need the replay to see that ball brushed the clay off the baseline.

God, so I looked at the replay now.

Linesman calls it out.
Alamagro goes mental.
Nadal looks at the mark but is not sure.
Nadal calls umpire.
Umpire looks at the mark
Umpire calls it out too, doesn't need to look closely.
Alamagro is angry.
Umpire shows the gap with his fingers to Alamagro. About 1,5cm out.
Alamagro and Djoko fans can't get over it and loses match.

End of this troll thread.

No he didn't. The ball was clearly out, rightly called so by line judge and umpire. Ball also bounced up like it does when it hits the edge between brushed area and non brushed area behind the baseline.
Total nonsence, there is absolutely no pattern of how the ball bounces on clay(with the exception of when it slides off the line)

Yes there is. When you brush off the clay from the line you usually brush a bit outside too. That creates a small edge. That's why the ball bounces up like that. Happens on pretty much every professional clay court. Not so much at FO though cause the clay is more sugar like.

Either way. This ball was out. Called by linesman and umpire. And it wasn't even that close.

Is there something going on with Rafa's vision ?

Why is Rafa unsure when umpire is able to tell it is 1,5 cm out ?

The only troll posts in this thread are coming from you by claiming it was 1,5 cm out (LOL) and claiming I am an Almagro and Djokovic fan.

It was so obviously on the line. Almagro saw this and after they switched sides (he already knew it was on the line, but the mark confirmed it), after this he got REALLY and I mean REALLY angry at the umpire.
And now you are telling me this ball was out and the mark was 1,5 cm behind the line?

No not a chance, you are a fanboy and a troll.

Are you writing from a mental hospital?

I was watching the match with live commentary in Spanish and they said, something along the lines of, it looked in to us, to Almagro, to Nadal yet the umpire confirmed the linesman's call that it was out.

It looked 100% in to my eyes...

Why this crusade against Rafa ? He did not make the call .

I am more bothered by things like Djokovic taking a MTO when Murray is serving for his first major title at 5-4 in the 5th set.

5-2 actually but, yes, it was an odd time for Djokovic to take an MTO. But heyho, it's all water under the bridge! ;)

Novak also cheated 2015 FO SF taking a MTO , soon after Murray won the 3rd set and was on fire. Murray was truly GOAT'ing that stretch and it was pathetic for Novak to recognize and impede that.

Didn't recall the MTO at last year's RG so thanks for that but didn't the match get rained off at that point?

Leave it one of the biggest Novak haters on the forum to insert Djokovic into a thread that has nothing to do with

The Scot later sidestepped suggestions that Djokovic had at least stretched the boundaries of propriety when, having been two sets up on Friday night, he took an eight-minute medical timeout after losing the third set in fading light with a storm brewing (both meteorological and metaphorical).

There were echoes – at least in the media’s perception – of the acrimony that surfaced in the Australian Open between them, when Djokovic went on to win the final after appearing to be injured in a tight moment of the first set before roaring back at Murray.

Murray’s tone on Saturday was diplomatic and respectful, but he left enough moral pauses for anyone to draw their own conclusions. It is fair to say they might not play doubles together again.
