After seven months out of the game, what do you expect from Nadal in the next few months?
Poll up now.
I picked option number two. I think he's smart coming back by playing some smaller clay tournaments. He can get into form on the surface without worrying about having to play anyone with the capability of beating him. I doubt he'll win either of the upcoming hard court Masters, but that's hardly a surprise. Then we're off to the main clay swing, where he'll already be warmed up on the surface and now can get to work defending his big titles.
Nothing, cause those 7 months will become 8, 9, 10, 11, 12... etc months given his PR pattern.
loses in Brazil (to save some energy)
makes semis in IW
withdraws from Miami
Loses at MC semis
withdraws from Madrid
either wins RG or loses to Djokovic
after that I don't know
Wins everything he wants to win on clay at least until he runs into Djokovic. Loses on grass and hard courts in semis to Murray/Djoko.
Also, he will prove Clarky21 wrong so many times that she will be finally crowned as GOAT clown poster on TT.
One thing is certain, Nadal will play better than ever, for the first time in his career he will be very well rested and I'm sure he worked a lot on improving his game in the meantime.
As for his results, those will depend on the competition and will probably be a good showcase of how much field has improved/matured since 2010.
