Nadal-Djokovic H2H in Slams is more one-sised on clay than hard.

Sport

G.O.A.T.
Nadal

2-3 against Djokovic on hard court matches in Slams, meaning he has won 40% of his Slam matches against Djokovic on hard.

Djokovic

1-6 against Nadal on clay matches in Slams, meaning he has won only 14% of his clay matches in Slams against Nadal.

Nadal even leads the H2H over Djokovic 2-1 at the USO. Can you imagine how ridiculous it would be Nadal having a losing H2H in a Slam on clay?

Grand Slam achievements >>>> achievements outside Grabd Slams. Therefoee, H2H in Grand Slams is more relevant than H2H in Masters 1000.

Can we take a moment and appreciate how epic is this?? Idemo Rafa!!

Yet Djokovic could not win a second clay match at the Slam level despite having more attempts.
It's certainly more one-sided. Djokovic did a good job compared to others overall. 1 win at RG and 6 wins at Masters. The second best has beaten Nadal in clay big tournaments only 2 times (Federer/Murray/Thiem).

Let me know when Nadal plays Djokovic 7 times at AO.
It is easier to reach Nadal at RG than Djokovic at the AO. Nadal is far more consistent at RG.

Nadal has only failed to reach the RG final 3 times in his career. Djokovic has failed to reach the AO final 8 times in his career.

Nadal has played 3 AO finals without facing Djokovic.

Djokovic has only played 2 RG finals without facing Nadal.

Players who beat the most times Nadal in clay big tournaments

Djokovic 7
others 2

Players who beat the most times Federer in grass big tournaments

Djokovic 3
others 1

Djokovic did about 3 times better than the second best. (y)
The category "big titles" is misleading, because it mixes Grand Slams with Masters 1000, when Masters 1000 are not as relevant as Grand Slams.

Grand Slams achievements > achievements outside Slams. Therefore H2H in Slams > H2H in Masters 1000.

Yes thanks for confirming for the millionth time that Nadal is nothing but a clay courter capable of winning on other surfaces only if he has Youzhnys or Berrettinis in the last stages.

So you acknowledge that the depth of the field on hard is stronger than on clay. OK, agree with you there.

Nadal has only failed to reach the RG final 3 times in his career. Djokovic has failed to reach the AO final 8 times in his career.

Nobody said who is the greater player at their fav respective slams. So Djokovic can meet Nadal more on Djokovic's worst surface than vice versa, OK. Agree with you there also.

Nadal has played 3 AO finals without facing Djokovic.

Djokovic has only played 2 RG finals without facing Nadal.

And the difference between 3 and 2 is very astronomical, isn't it?

I never understand the point of these types of threads. Fanboyz can never be objective. Nadal could be 1-21 against Djokovic off clay and fanboyz would still argue their guy is superior based on one victory. Both Nadal and Djokovic are ATG's, why not acknowledge both of their careers as amazing and move on?

But that requires logic. ;)

Djokovic fans seem really nervous lately with all the threads they've been creating to discredit Nadal. You have so little faith in your guy you don't think he can catch Nadal in the Slam tally? Looks like it :-D

OP is a Nadal fan...

This is faulty logic since this can be based on the draw. Andy Murray wouldn't agree with you since he played Nadal 2 times at RG and played Djokovic 5 takes at AO, 4 times in the final. Nadal is far more dominant at RG, which we already know, but that doesn't explain away the point he's making. It's not a coincidence that Djokovic has made more hardcourt Slam finals than anyone in the Open Era, yet played Nadal more times at RG than he has in those two hardcourt Slams combined. It's also not a coincidence they played more in Rome and RG than they played in AO, USO, IW, Miami, and Canada combined.
